Cathy Doll Nude Me Eyeshadow Palette in 03 Pink Champagne – Review, Photos & Swatches
Finally, we’re on to the third and last eyeshadow palette of Cathy Doll’s Nude Me collection – #03 Pink Champagne. I personally love the color of this palette. It’s PINK! I mean, who doesn’t love pink? From the packaging to the shades included itself, Aesthetically, this is actually my fave palette among the entire collection.
As you may already know, the packaging is very much the same as the first two palettes. This, however, is in PINK! It’s so cute! Like I said, this one’s really pretty.
This palette, same as the others, is composed of 12 warm & rose-toned eyeshadows. Perfect for both day and night look. Three of the shades from this palette are matte, while the others are either metallic, satin or shimmery.
First row consists of 6 beautiful warm & rose-toned shades. Two are matte, while the rest are shimmery and metallic. My favorite shades here are the second, fifth & sixth shades. They’re really pigmented and vibrant especially if you use a primer underneath.
However, the second row consists of darker shades mostly rose-toned as well but definitely aimed towards creating a smoky eye look. This row is composed of 1 matte shade, while the rest are also shimmery and metallic.
If you’re tired of your usual warm-toned shades and you want to try something new, or if you just want to have a nice dupe of the Naked 3 Palette, then this is definitely for you. Each shade compliment each other, and you can definitely create different looks out of this palette. The metallic shades here provide a decent pigmentation and a nice color-pay off while the mattes, are okay. The texture is similar to the first two palettes. The shimmery/metallic shades are soft, but not as soft when it comes to the matte shades. All three palettes, btw are not as powdery, and they’re very easy to work with. They blend smoothly.
Pretty much like the first two palettes, this works even without an eyeshadow primer, but works better with. It makes the shades even more vibrant and it makes them last longer. But when used without, (I just use a concealer underneath) it lasts on me for an entire day with minimal creasing and fading.
Like I said earlier, this palette is the most aesthetically pretty in the entire collection. It’s pink and all of the shades seem to complement each other. BUT this is my least favorite. But that’s just me. I just don’t like the look of rose-toned shades in my lids. I don’t know why. I prefer, warm or cool-toned shades. I love pink eyeshadows, don’t get me wrong, but I like darker, warmer pinks. This is why I don’t have the Naked 3 or any of their dupes.
However, if you’re a bride to be, or if you’re celebrating your 18th birthday or attending a formal celebration and you need a subtle, yet beautiful eye makeup, then this is the one for you. From what I’ve heard, makeup artists love using Naked 3 palette or rose-toned shades for brides, and debutantes.
Overall, despite my personal preferences, I still do recommend this palette and the entire eyeshadow collection. Aside from them being a cheaper alternative, they perform really well and they manage to exceed my expectations. If you are looking for a nice rose-toned eyeshadow palette, with a nice harmony of colors that complement each other, then try this one.
