Happy Skin X Disney Princess Moisturizing Matte Lippie Set In Snow White And Aurora – Review, Photos & Swatches

I grew up reading tons of fairy tales and thanks to my sister’s Betamax & VHS tapes, I was able to watch tons of Disney cartoons featuring Disney princesses such as Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, Princess Jasmine, among others. Though they’re my favorites, I didn’t really own a lot of Disney products. From toys to novelty items, nope. I was into different characters back then. Sure, I loved playing toys, and stuff, but I was more into lutu-lutuan, playing doctor, bahay-bahayan and stuff. I guess, my main point is that, when I was a kid, I never cared about their collaborations.. Until now..

November last year, Happy Skin Cosmetics, one of my favorite local brands, collaborated with Disney to bring us a collection of lipsticks, cushion blushes and brightening powders. I seriously wanted to get all of them but because I was in a tight budget, I had to, repeat, HAD TO restrain myself from buying. But because it was my birthday, last December, my best friend sensed how badly I need at least one piece from the collection (chos!) and got me one! She got me the Snow White & Aurora Moisturizing Matte Lippie Set. (hehehe :D)

See the Beauty Within

Let this apple-red lippie remind you of what it means to have a good heart.

Be like Snow White, who is kind to big and small, and be the fairest of them all!

Like Aurora, don’t let dreams fall into a slumber.

Break the spell, make dreams come true, then swipe on this rose hue!

Happy Skin

The entire collection came with lippies, cushion blushes and brightening powders. As for lippies, they came out with three types: Moisturizing Lippies, Moisturizing Matte Lippies and Liquid Matte Lipsticks. This set, came with the matte lippies and they’re very wearable. That’s the thing actually about the entire collection. All shades are very wearbale so you’re bound to find something you’ll like.

I’m sure you’re all familiar of Happy Skin’s packaging so these are no different. But what makes them cute is that the tubes have the Disney Princesses’ illustrations on them. I sure hope they won’t fade. They also have gold accents, which makes them a lot prettier. If you buy the set, they come in these pull out boxes with the Disney Princesses’ silhouette illustrations and a quote inside. You can also buy them individually and their boxes are also pretty!

Happy Skin’s Moisturizing Matte Lippies are indeed very moisturizing (as the name states) and they’re on the softer side. They have a demi-matte finish so if you have a really dry, chappy lips, then this is definitely the one for you.

We’ve all heard it before. Snow white, whose skin is as white as snow, hair as black as ebony and lips as red as blood. This is definitely that type of red. Something that resembles that of what you see in the cartoons. Classic, blue-toned red. Very wearable and matches every skin tone.

Aurora, however, is more on the day to day, MLBB shade. Definitely resembles what you see in the cartoons. I’ve been wearing this a lot every since I got it.

I’m sure you’re all aware of Happy Skin’s reputation when it comes to their lippies so this is no different. These matte lippies offer a rich pigmentation and they have a decent coverage. They’re very creamy and they glide on like butter as well so I only need 1-2 layers for my entire lips. As always, none of these shades are patchy and they don’t bleed.

I really love the formulation of Happy Skin’s matte lippies. Despite the fact that they’re matte, they’re definitely not drying at all. They can last on my lips for three to four hours and Snow White can stain my lips, which I think can prolong the longevity a bit further.

Another thing that I love about Happy Skin lippies is that, they don’t really have any particular scent. I’m not really picky when it comes to that particular criteria, however, it’s nice to encounter makeup products that are basically unscented from time to time.

Overall, I really love Happy Skin lippies regardless off the finish. But since you all know that I live for matte lipsticks, you know that this definitely takes the top spot. I haven’t tried their liquid lip products yet so it’s definitely in my “To Try List 2017” teehee. But for now, I am definitely in love with these, as always, and I highly recommend them.
