New Shades of Celeteque Matte Lipsticks – Review, Photos & Swatches
Celeteque DermoCosmetics released three new shades to their matte lipstick line. Their matte lipstick line before was comprised of pinks and peach-toned colors. Now, they have colors that are a lot more wearable and definitely something you can pull off day and/or night.
CÉLETEQUE DermoCosmetics™ Matte Lip Stick gives your lips vivid color with matte finish and glides easily with no waxy feel.
Get to know the powerful skin care ingredients:
- Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E) that moisturizes lips
- Bisabolol that reduces flaking and restores suppleness
- Candelilla Wax that nourishes lips
If you are familiar to Celeteque DermoCosmetics lipsticks, you’ll know that their shade names are very straightforward (such as Pink, Peach, Cherry). Now, we have these three more shades, and there’s no better, yet simple way to describe these shades by naming them Nude, Ruby and Wine. Seriously though, I actually like the simplicity of it.
Celeteque DermoCosmetics Matte Lipsticks come in a jumbo crayon form, which is actually my personal favorite. Though these things tend to get messy overtime, I still prefer the convenience this type of packaging provides. Also, Celeteque’s cosmetics line has a fairly minimalistic packaging. They stay true to their brand’s aesthetic and I’m actually in favor of that. However, sometimes, because all of them is WHITE, they tend to attract dust and makeup mess like cccrrraaazzyyy..
These matte lipsticks are a bit on the drier side when it comes to texture and formula. It’s indeed matte. I suggest that you exfoliate and prime your lips with a lip balm beforehand otherwise it can emphasize the cracks/texture of your lips. However, the formula of these three is way better than the older shades, if I’m not mistaken. There’s still some minor tugging involved but there’s a lot of difference. I’ll tell you along the way.
Peachy-nude shade with a slight hint of brown
Classic blue-toned red shade
Dark plummy red shade
These three matte lipsticks offer a decent pigmentation and they’re very true to color. However, when it comes to coverage, I find that I need to apply at least 2-3 layers in order to get my preferred intensity/opacity. Though the darker shades (Ruby & Wine) can give your lips a pop of color with just a single layer, I believe that you will need a few extra layers to even them out. Once you’re done with the first layer, they glide on super easily. None of these are patchy (which was a disadvantage in their older shades) nor do they bleed.
Since this is made by a trusted skincare brand, of course, you will get a notable amount of benefits. Vitamin E to moisturize your lips. Bisabolol to reduce flaking and to restore the suppleness. And lastly, Candelilla Wax to nourish your lips.
Another thing that I love about these three is that they’re not drying at all. Compared to the shade that I owned before, these lasted on my lips for a good four hours on my lips. Further, for those of you who doesn’t like scented makeup, this one’s for you too.
Overall, I am very happy with the formula of these three new shades and I love that Celeteque decided to come up with more wearable shades. They have been a staple of mine for the past month. I surely hope that they will consider making more nudes and vampy shades while retaining the same formula.
