Detail MakeBrow Eyebrow Palette – Review, Photos & Swatches
Then I started investing in makeup and decided to beauty blog. That’s when I found out that you should also pay attention to your brows. In fact, you may have the prettiest eye makeup and a gorgeous shade of lipstick on, but if you don’t shape and fill in your brows properly, your look is not really complete. In fact, it kinda ruins it, in my opinion. That’s why I decided to look for the best brow products and dare I say, hoard them at times. And here’s one of the products I stumbled upon.
This easy-to-use, multi-tasking eyebrow palette is a must-have for perfectly groomed brows. Shape, fill, and blend with its creamy and pigmented brow powders. Use the highlighting powder on the brow bone for more defined brows. This palette can also be used as an eye shadow for a natural, everyday eye makeup.
I like the quality of the packaging because it’s not flimsy at all. It’s sturdy enough and it closes shut. You can definitely take it with you when you travel. It also has a tiny mirror once you open it, big enough for you to see what you’re doing and then a dual ended brush. I don’t use the sponge as much but the angle liner brush is really good for applying the product on to your brows. I usually throw these applicators away but the brush side is really good. It’s thin enough allowing you to be more precise when it comes to filling up your brows.
Detail MakeBrow comes in two palettes: No. 01 & No. 02. Of course, no. 01 is the lighter among the two, and it’s the one that I use the most. The palette comes with three shades: two are matte browns, and one is a highlight. The highlighter is pretty similar to their contouring palette and both palettes come with the same shade of highlighter. This palette also has a warmer undertone compared to the #02 palette and I think this is a lot more universal compared to the other.
No. 02 has more of like an olive undertone. It’s a lot darker than the first palette and it’s not even similar at all. I’ve seen some brands come up with an eyebrow palette with 2 or more variations (light, medium, dark, etc). But the palettes’s shades are still very similar to each other. Sometimes, they’re just a tad lighter or darker. But this one is really darker than the first palette so it’s essential that you get the palette that’s right for you otherwise, it won’t work.
It doesn’t really look like much when you swatch them with your fingers. They’re not as creamy as compared to a regular eyeshadow powder. They have the same texture as most eyebrow powders do. However, these shades are very pigmented. A little of it goes a long way and it takes less the effort to apply and blend compared to most of the powders I have encountered so far.
Should you wish to use these as an eyeshadow, you can do so too since these are very blendable and they’re not patchy at all. They’re a bit powdery but it doesn’t bother me as much. I haven’t tried using this on it’s own sans the primer so I cannot vouch for its longevity. In case you’re wondering, I also prefer to use the No. 01 palette as an eyeshadow. I find the no. 02 palette a bit to dark for my skin tone.
Here I’m using the No. 01 palette. I really love this because it matches my hair perfectly. If you want to see this in action, you can check it out on my previous reviews (i.e. Detail Makeover Contour & Blush Effects Palette Review). It lasts for a good amount of time as well, I’ve tried to use this on its own without setting it with a brow mascara/gel and it lasted for the entire day. It only faded on the tail part because the tail of my brows barely had hair in it. So I suppose it has something to do with the fact that it doesn’t have anything to hold on to.
Overall, I’m really impressed with this product and it became one of my favorites the moment I got and tried it. I love the fact that it lasts really long and it’s very easy to use. If you want something that you can use to attain a more natural/subtle brows or if you want something bolder, then go for this one. #browsonfleek is something very possible when you have this one. I highly recommend you to try it. For Php 245 a pop, it’s totally worth it!
