Cathy Doll Speed White CC Cream – Review, Photos & Swatches

Hi loves! How was your weekend so far? Mine’s fine. I had time to rest and I realized, I really missed blogging. I binge-watched a lot of series lately and I’m somehow caught up with majority but I’m also re-watching some that are about to end/ended. Anyhoo, I have a new review for you guys and just like before, it’s something that I’ve always loved. Therefore, this review is kinda overdue (lol, what’s new? :P)

Colour Control(CC) Cream is the ultimate all-in-one make up base filled with nutrients. CC Cream acts also as a brightener, moisutrizer and sunblock. CC Cream is full of Vitamin C, Q10 hydrating factor and collagen to revitalise your skin. It uses the innovative Speed White technology to instantly brighten skin and cover pores, with a 12 hour oil control feature.

Packaging’s straight to the point but I really do love how it looks like. I actually love colored animal print, lol. I know that some people mind find it tacky but I don’t. I find them cute. Hahah. The packaging is really colorful and it has a chrome pink cap that’s very easy to open yet it closes shut when you twist it. It also has this tiny nozzle that allows you to squeeze just an ample amount of product. I think the tube also helps with that part.

The CC Cream comes in 2 shades: Beige & Green. What I have is in the shade of ‘Green‘ and it’s excellent for color correcting & brightening your skin. You can use it on its own or apply it as a base for your foundation.

The consistency of this particular shade is very lightweight which is pretty common to most of the CC Creams that I have tried (the only CC Cream that I encountered with a heavier/drier texture is the Chanel CC Cream).  It’s also very easy to blend. I actually prefer to use my fingers whenever I use this because I find that I get the same result when I use a damp sponge.

Like I said, this particular shade is more on color correcting and brightening rather than covering imperfections. Therefore, if you’re looking for a product that offers coverage and such, I’m afraid this product’s not it. However, what I do like about this one is that it covers up my rednesses it brightens up my skin tone. For times when I want to just look a bit more presentable without looking overdone or without looking like I have lots of makeup on, then this is what I use. It’s also something that I use when I’m in a hurry because this blends easily with just my fingers.

I haven’t tried using this without setting powder on top so I cannot vouch for it’s longevity on its own. I usually set this with my trusty L’oreal Mat Magique BB Veil (I’ll do a review about this as soon as I get a new one, lol :P) and so far it lasts me for 4-5 hours which is typical with my skin type. I do have a normal-dry skin tone but I sweat like a pig when exposed to sunlight. Sadly, I’ve only worn this inside air-conditioned places so I cannot tell you how long it lasts when worn outside, sorry.

Another thing I love about this CC Cream is the scent. This smells so clean and fresh. It’s not too overwhelming in my opinion but you do notice it from the moment you open the tube. If you’re not into scented makeup, it might bother you, but it quickly fades once you apply it on to your skin.

All in all, I really am loving this product and I love that for such an affordable price, you get a ton of product inside. Oh and a little product goes a long way too! Not to mention that it’s multi-purpose! It features 12-hour oil control, has moisturizing properties and doubles as a sunblock! Ano na?!

The packaging is cute but I find the label quite unreadable because of that. It worked well naman on you as a corrector so I liked it. I’m surprised na available siya sa 7-11 stores. Macheck nga I do hope they would release more shades in the future.
