It’s Oh So Sweet! The Pink Sugar Cosmetics Launch
Hi loves! I know it’s been a while since I updated my blog and for that I apologize. Don’t worry, I’ll make it up to you :). Anyway, for those of you who’ve been following me for quite some time, you’ll know that I love anything that’s cute and/or PINK. Bonus points if both qualities are there. Nearly a month ago, a local brand launched a full cosmetic line starting from base makeup to eye and lip products. And guess what? It’s both pink AND cute. Teehee. I know, lame intro. But oh well, can you blame me?
For those of you who didn’t know, Pink Sugar is already a well known, local brand that mostly manufactures body mists. It was only recently that they ventured out into the makeup world. The founders, Laveen Mirpuri, and Rohit Mirpuri know that the best beauty brands can be created locally. “We believe that the Philippine cosmetics scene is changing. People are smarter with their cosmetic choices,” stresses the duo. Now, they take their penchant for business from perfumery into the world of make-up, after seeing that there was a need to provide regular Filipinas an affordable yet quality brand that does its job without costing too much.
I was really overwhelmed when I saw the range of products they’re offering. Oh, and the quality? Oh emm… You have to swatch these yourself in order to see how ridiculously pigmented these babies are.
Yes, that would be me, finding my perfect shade for their BB Cream,
concealer and their dual finish face powder
Here’s a vlog about what happened that day. I had so much fun!
The event was held last October 15, 2015 at Stella Woodfire Bistro (the food there was yummy, btw! :P). We got a little lost since I think their map wasn’t updated, IDK. But still, the place is really nice and like I said earlier, the food’s really delicious! (lol)
Those sweets, yumm
Pink Sugar Cosmetics has everything from BB Creams, concealers, dual finish powders, blush, bronzer, highlighters, eyeliners and eyeshadow palettes. Lemme introduce you to them, and lemme give you my first impression about some of the products that I’ve tried so far.
The It’s Awesome BB Cream (Php 499) has four shades from Light, Light Warm, Light Medium to Beige. My shade is light warm. I like it because it has yellow undertones. Light has more of pink undertones while the other three shades have yellow. It also offers a light yet buildable coverage. I like it because it’s not overly dewy. A little of it goes a long way as well so you have to be extra careful when squeezing the tube.
The Our Lil’ Secret Concealer (Php 299) offers four shades as well. From Light, Light Medium, Medium to Medium Deep. I have the shade light. It has pink undertones while the rest has more of a yellow undertone. This concealer is a major hit for me. It has an amazing coverage and it’s indeed waterproof. It’s a bit on the thicker side, so you have to buff it really well.
The Pink Sugar Dual Finish Face Powder (Php 499) is also one of my faves because it’s very silky. It comes in 5 shades: Shell, Cool Beige, Natural Ochre, Natural Beige, and Medium Beige. My shade as usual is Shell. I love it because it offers a nice coverage but it doesn’t cake up and you can also use it to top off your liquid foundation.
These babies, I swear. When you see them, it’ll be hard to choose just one. The Pink Sugar Sweet Cheeks HD Cheek Color (Php 499) offers 5 blushes (Wanderlust, Summer Nights, Tokyo Rush, Miss Independent and Paris Lights), 2 gorgeous highlighters (Sin City and Concrete Jungle) and one bronzer (South Beach). It’s hard for me to choose just one but the one that I brought with me to my trip to Hong Kong was Miss Independent and Sin City. Although let me tell you, these babies are good. Oh they are good.
The Pink Sugar Eye Candy Eye shadow Palette (Php 699) – This is their priciest makeup item in their entire line. Would you believe that none of their makeup products are worth 1k or above? These palettes are hella pigmented and have a rich color payoff. I brought EC02 with me during my trip and I love it. It’s definitely an all in one palette. Review to follow!
The Pink Sugar Honey I’m Good Eyeliner Duo (Php 349) comes in 4 shades (Black/Black, Brown/Brown, Black/White & Black/Blue). I haven’t tested this out yet completely to give you a complete and accurate review but so far I liked it when I first used it. Will definitely use it more and I’ll let you know once I have enough thoughts about this baby soon.
The Pink Sugar HD Lipstick (Php 299) This comes in 14, yes 14 shades. I wont be enumerating all of them in this post because I’ll be doing a swatchfest post/vid for you soon. In the meantime, believe me when I tell you that they’re really good
Pink Sugar Creamy Matte Lipstick (Php 349) meanwhile, comes in 10 shades. Same as before, I wont be enumerating the shade names but I have a couple of faves from this line and I can’t stop using them!
Aaaaanddd my ultimate favorite from the entire line, the Pink Sugar Sugar Tint Lip and Cheek Tint (Php 349). These lip and cheek tints come in 5 shades. Will do a swatchest as well, but these babies are really long lasting and they’re very pigmented. Oh and they smell sooo good! Believe me!!
