A Radiant Celebration: #GetGlowingWithJergens Skincare Fair
Last September 05, 2015, I was one of the bloggers who were invited to attend Jergens #GetGlowingWithJergens Skincare Fair at Araneta Center Gateway Mall. College students from all over the metro flocked to the mall for the fair where they experienced a wide range of activities to get their glow on — from typography classes to on-site pictorials. Jergens and Araneta Center partnered for this event with the aim of helping ladies achieve and maintain healthy, glowing skin all over their body.
Me and my co-beauty bloggers had tons of fun that day. We learned some quick tips regarding typography from the artist, Ms. Coy Cordova. It was one of the most-participated event actually. I learned about different strokes, and all. Oh, and I suck at it, btw. I need more practice.
We also enjoyed some snacks and also their dedicate juice bar that served all their guests with healthy, fruity flavors to keep them hydrated throughout the day’s activities.
One-on-one consultations with a skincare expert were conducted and were especially beneficial to those who were not familiar with their skin type and the products to use for their skin. Participants were given expert advice on the do’s and don’ts of skin care and treated to samples of recommended Jergens variants by the skincare expert. A one-on-one nutrition consultation; experts dished out expert advice on the types of food they can incorporate to their everyday meals to achieve skin that glows with health.
Beauty and fashion talks also delighted the guests as MYX VJ Ai Dela Cruz, PBA Courtside reporter Mara Aquino, and Yogi Erika Padilla shared their beauty secrets and style tips. One of their shared experiences as college students was overlooking the importance of proper skin care to which they advised their audience to “never be lazy to slather on lotion. It goes a long way!”.
Another highlight event was the launch of the newest Jergens variant–The Hydrating Coconut Lotion. Its formula is infused with coconut oil and coconut water that makes skin supple and luminous. Guests at the fair were privileged to be the first ones to try it and everyone loved its light, refreshing scent.
I really love this one, btw. Usually I don’t like products which are coconut-scented, but this one is not overpowering. And just like other Jergens lotions, it’s not greasy, it sets immediately but keeps your skin hydrated the whole day.
To top off the eventful day, a glowing, on-site pictorial was open to all ladies where they showed off their modeling skills and got a chance to be declared as one of the 5 Jergens Glow Girls.
Through the event, everyone experienced the Jergens Glow and learned the relevance of glowing skin to overall health and beauty. With ample exercise, a healthy diet, sound skin regimen, lots of positivity, and Jergens, healthy, glowing skin is possible.
All in all, I really had fun during the event. I get to try their new lotion, I had a crash-course about typography, something I’ve been meaning to try for ages now, and I got to learn some tips in order to keep my skin feeling soft and hydrated. It was indeed a fun event. Special thanks to Digify for the invite and also a big Congratulations, for this was their first event, and it was indeed a success.
