#FoundMyTrueMatch: L’oreal True Match Media Preview
Thursday, last August 27th, L’oreal Philippines invited us, beauty bloggers to showcase all of their up and coming makeup products. I was so thrilled because I’ve really been loving L’oreal especially lately. They’ve been coming up with new and innovative skincare and makeup products and what’s not to love? I especially love their True Match foundations and concealer. They’re indeed very blendable and they provide an excellent finish. That’s why when I found out that they’ll be introducing a new one, I knew I had to give it a try.
The event was held at Farmacy: Ice Cream & Soda Fountain Shop at BGC, at about 11:00 AM. We were given empty press kits and were told to drop by 4 stations so that we can get our own perfect match. We were also told to grab a key once we have our perfect match. The keys will be used to unlock a surprise giveaway later on once you’ve collected all four. I believe the prizes were movie tickets.
Station 1: L’oreal True Match Blur Cream
This lightweight, non-greasy skin primer has concentrated light reflectors that instantly blur away pores and fine lines for smoother, more even-looking skin – the perfect base for foundation.
This primer reminds me of Benefit Porefessional only a tone darker. Don’t be intimidated with the shade though, it blends quickly and it evens out my skintone like a dream.
Station 2: L’oreal True Match Foundation (Php 600)
The new True Match contains 5 unique micro-pigments that specifically match Asian skin tones and undertones. Also, its micro-fine pigments hide imperfections with medium, buildable coverage, while protecting against harmful UVA and UVB rays with SPF 16/PA++. All this in a super-blendable, lightweight formula for the most flawless, natural-looking skin.
I’ve been using this for quite some time now and I really love this. Can’t say I love this more than the others because seriously, L’oreal foundations are just my “thang” (yes, “thang”). But what I do love about this is that it matches my skintone perfectly and it comes in this beautiful sleek packaging WITH a PUMP! Wo0t wo0t!
Station 2: L’oreal True Match Crayon Concealer (Php 500)
This easy-to-use concealer offers customizable coverage from the tiniest of blemishes to larger areas of imperfections. The tip of the crayon allows for precise application, while the side of the crayon can easily conceal a larger area of skin. The innovative formula provides full coverage that blends easily and won’t look cakey. Choose from 6 natural shades in that match a range of skin tones and undertones.
I’ve been waiting for this product to arrive here in our country and now here it is! I’ve seen this concealer from Judy and she’s been using this to highlight & contour her face. It’s super creamy and it offers such a nice coverage! Imma get more!
Station 2: L’oreal True Match Brow Artist Genius Kit & Designer Pro
Brow Artist Genius Kit (Php 400)- an all-in-one brow kit to define, shape, and style your brows like a pro. It has everything you need, from wax, to powder, an angled brush and even a mini spoolie, which is actually perfect for brushing them brows. I love this kit!
Brow Artist Designer Pro (Php 500)- a 3-in-1 pencil that allows you to shape, shade, and style your brows with ease. It features 3 products in one slim tube: a crayon pencil, a brow powder, and a brow brush. This pencil offers a nice pigmentation and the powder sets the pencil perfectly.
After we got all of our products, we then filled our tummies with Farmacy’s yummy burger, fries and sundaes. Their rocky road is heaven, btw.
Obligatory selfie with my co-beauty blogger/hair twin (now), Genzel of genzelkisses.com. I was also with Celline and Phia that day. For more updates, feel free to add me at Snapchat (yettezkiedoodle) or subscribe to my YT channel for my weekly vlogs.
Overall, I had tons of fun during their Media preview and by the time I have all four of the products in my press kit, I was really itching to go home to give them a test drive and so far all of them lived up to my expectations. I will definitely review them for you loves individually. Do let me know what you want to see first, ayt?
How about you? What’s your favorite L’oreal makeup product? Is there something in this line that you really want to try the most? Have you tried anything from this line? Let me know
