July Faves 2015
Hey loves! I know, I know, this post is way late. However, it’s been a while since I’ve done my monthly favorites and there are a lot of new stuff that I would like to share to you. My entire skincare routine has changed and I have discovered a lot of new and exciting products and I’m sure you’d want to hear about them as well.
Aveeno Active Naturals Positively Hydrating Body Wash – My niece gave this to me last summer and I can’t stop using this ever since. It smells so good and it’s indeed very hydrating. My mom loves it too! I’m not sure if it’s available here but I suppose it is. We have Aveeno here in our supermarket but they don’t carry the same brand, so IDK. But I think you can still find this one if you’re interested.
Nekkid Skin Basics Grapefruit Bergamot Dry Oil Mist – I got this a couple of months ago, but because my room was being renovated, I had to keep it along with my backups. Then, when I started putting everything back tot heir respective places, I saw this one and was kinda confused how to use it. My mom borrowed it and decided to use it in her elbows. Her dry, dark patches that she got from leaning towards the desk completely faded within just a few uses. I applied it in this really dry, thick and rough spot that I have in my back. After a week of non-stop application it completely got rid of it. Mind you, I tried everything on that ‘devil’. I used the most moisturizing cream I can ever find but it didn’t get rid of it. Only this one did.
Safeguard DermaSense Sensitive Skin Facial Cleanser – My skin’s been weird lately. It can’t stand wearing makeup for more than 3-4 hours, for some reason. It gets really itchy and I get these weird rashes all over. I don’t think it’s from the base that I use or the makeup because I’m still using the same thing. Nothing’s changed. And I clean my brushes regularly. Nevertheless, whenever I go home and get rid of my entire makeup, this seems to make it all better. It helps reduce the irritation and the redness that I got from wearing makeup (which is pretty annoying, srsly -_-).
Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate – There was so much hype about this product but since it’s really pricey, I didn’t really pay attention to it. Until recently, I bought this from a fellow beauty blogger and so far I’ve been really loving it. It evened out my skin tone and it helped reduce all of my dry patches, near my nose, my forehead. I’m really amazed with this product. Oh, and my mom loves this too!
Laneige Special Care Lip Sleeping Mask – I love using this even if I’m not going to sleep. Though it feels a bit heavy, it still feels really hydrating and it keeps your lips feeling soft and plump for hours. Longer than a regular lip balm. Oh, and I also love the scent.
L’oreal Le Teint True Match Super Blendable Liquid Foundation – If you want a foundation with a lighter coverage and with a skin-like finish, then look no further. This has been my favorite ever since I got it. It blends like a dream and it looks really great on photos & videos too.
L.A. Girl Pro BB Cream – I have already reviewed this BB cream so I wont go into details but I really REALLY love this one. The coverage, the blendability is just the bomb, at least for me. For mroe information, feel free to read my review here.
Happy Skin Eye Need A Miracle Corrector – Truth be told, I never really needed correctors before until I got promoted. The long hours and all of the brain-draining stuff that I had to do along with the lack of sleep, all of it showed up in these really dark, bulgy, undereye circles that I’ve never had before. Sure I use concealers for my undereye areas and sure they get dark sometimes but not this DARK! I was horrified! Anyway, this helped even everything out along with the use of either a regular skin-toned concealer or a highlighter.
Milani Baked Powder Blush in ‘Luminoso’ – Aah, the cult favorite. I never thought I would get this blush until my friend convinced me. And I’m glad I did. It’s really a beautiful blush for girls with fair skin. It gives you that youthful glow and radiance that ordinary blushes don’t ordinarily posses. Believe me, I have a ton of blushes but none of them are similar to this one.
Benefit Watt’s Up Highlighter – I love using this when I don’t want to put on that much makeup but I still want to look radiant. I also use this as a base for my powder highlighters.
The Balm Mary-Lou-Manizer Highlighter – Another cult favorite. This is what I would like to refer to as ‘BAM! In your face!’ highlighter. It’s very pigmented and it’s a metallic highlighter, perfect for that strobing effect that everyone and their mother is so into right now. This just gives that really beautiful glow that is very noticeable yet still seems natural. I know it sounds weird, and it may not make any sense, but it’s one of those products that you have to see for yourself in order to get what’s with the hype. I’m definitely head over heels with this product and at the moment, I don’t see myself buying another highlighter. Though you shouldn’t really be taking me seriously when it comes to that stuff.
Happy Skin Shut Up & Kiss Me Moisturizing Matte Lippie in ‘Hot Stuff’ – This has been my fave ever since I got it. It’s indeed very moisturizing and it’s a very good statement lippie. It’s very forgiving and I love the tip. I have already reviewed this lippe here so if you want to read my thoughts about it, feel free to click the link
Mac Satin Lipstick in ‘Faux’ – This was an impulse buy, actually. I was really searching for a good MLBB lippie and I stumbled upon this one and so I bought it. Yep, I can be persuaded that easily when it comes to makeup. But I ended up loving it. It’s a really good lipstick if you just want that barely there look. It also looks excellent on top of a nude lip pencil, which is what I do sometimes.
Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow Lip Balm in ‘Cherry’ – I don’t really like Baby Lips because they leave my lips flaky after a couple of hours, but this one is different. This one is indeed hydrating and I love that it leaves a nice hint of color. This is my fave no makeup-makeup lip color. I have also reviewed these lip balms here. Feel free to read more.
Colourpop Lippie Stix in ‘Lumiere’ – This was not included in the photo because I lost it when we went to the province for my brother’s birthday I haven’t repurchased it yet because I still have high hopes that I’ll be able to find it. Anyway, I really love this because of the shade and because it’s really moisturizing. I have also reviewed this lippie, so feel free to read more about it here.
So those are all of my favorites for the month of July. I hope that you enjoyed this post. Let me know if any of these are your favorites and also do let me know your favorites for the past month as well. I would love to know your thoughts and recommendations. I would love to try something new for the months of August-September.
See you later, ciao! ♥
