L.A. Girl Pro BB Cream HD Beauty Balm – Review, Photos & Swatches
Hi everyone!! If you know me then I’m pretty sure you know that I love BB Creams more than foundations. Well, they’re pretty close, but I find myself reaching to BB creams more often. Anyway, ever since I got this BB Cream I have been gushing about it ever since. I recommend it to my friends, relatives even to my mom and she really loved it. So I think this review is really long overdue.
Product Claims according to L.A. Girl USA:
An all-in-one skin beautifier! This essential new addition to L.A. Girl’s HD PRO series simplifies a basic skin and makeup regimen into a single tube. Indulge your skin with this powerful multitasker. HD PRO BB Cream primes, moisturizes and enhances skin tone.
This product was formulated without parabens and fragrance-free to pamper sensitive skin and lavishly nourish skin with added Vitamin B3, C and E. The silky formula covers a wide range of skin tones offering eight shades.
-Smooth, youthful-looking skin
-Enhances skin tone
Packaging’s very simple and direct to the point. It’s quite similar to its concealer counterpart but it doesn’t have any applicator (obviously). It’s very easy to squeeze and it’s easy to detect how much product you have left.
The shade that I have is Light/Medium and it matches my skin tone perfectly. Sometimes I prefer to apply this using my bare hands/fingers since it’s very easy to apply. It blends perfectly whether you use a brush, fingers or even a beauty blender sponge. The shade that I have has more of a neutral tone but this BB Cream comes in eight shades according to their website so I’m pretty sure you’ll be able to find a shade that will be suitable for your skin tone.
Pardon my lack of enthusiasm in this photo as well as my “Hagardo Versoza” look. I just got off from work when I took these photos
Also, FYI, I wasn’t wearing a concealer at the second photo
I find this BB cream really amazing because despite its really lightweight consistency, it provides great coverage. Especially when you use either your fingers or a buffing brush (I prefer RT buffing brush). Using a sponge, however, kinda lessens the coverage but it still looks flawless. If I don’t want a heavy makeup I find myself reaching for this more often, then I just add a few concealer in my dark spots then I’m good to go. I also how this looks like after I apply it onto my entire face. It doesn’t appear grey-ish compared to other BB creams nor does it give me that overly dewy look that I kinda steer clear from these past few months. My mom also loves this because of the coverage and the finish. She finds that this makes her look fresh every morning. I even bought her a tube!
In this photo, I used my Heroine Make Smooth Cover Powder to set this BB cream. If you know me, I can’t stand to NOT SET my entire makeup so, yeah. Anyway, I liked this BB Cream because no matter what powder I use to set it, none of them transferred. My skin’s not acting up lately (Thank God!) so I don’t have an oily T-zone and even if I do, my powders rarely transfer unless the issue is with my liquid foundation. But that’s just my opinion. Anyway, I’m getting way off topic. I also like this BB cream because it didn’t emphasize my dry spots or the areas of my face where my pores are visible. This BB cream also lasted on me for 5-6 hours and my blush and even contour stayed in tact during those hours. But I think that’s because I have a dry skin. Oh and also I did not apply a primer prior to applying this BB Cream. I think it’s important to take note of that.
As mentioned, the product is fragrance-free so if you have sensitive skin, you won’t have any issues. But it does have a tiny scent and it smells just like a common foundation, but I’m pretty sure you won’t find it bothersopme. Another thing is that it’s paraben-free.
