Wet ‘N’ Wild Color Icon Blush in ‘Pearlescent Pink’ – Review, Photos & Swatches

While everyone on the internet is practically discussing and debating about what’s the real color of #thedress, I thought instead of confusing myself, I should just resume blogging. Anyway, I know that this is way delayed, for those of you who are also sick of the dress debate (like moi) then come join me and let’s just talk about makeup. Shall we?

Wet 'N' Wild Color Icon Blush in 'Pearlescent Pink' - Review, Photos & Swatches

Today, I’ll be reviewing the Wet ‘N’ Wild Color Icon Blush in ‘Pearlescent Pink’. This is actually my first Wet ‘N’ Wild blush. I’ve owned their highlighters, bronzers, eyeshadow palettes and lip products but I don’t have any of their blushes. I don’t know why really. I’ve heard tons of great things about their blushes, so I’m definitely excited to put mine to the test.

Product Details/Claims according to WNW Beauty
Sweep on this silky-smooth blush that strikes the perfect balance between a blendable transparent sheen and a radiant pop of maximum color. A special blend of treated nylon powders provides long-lasting color. Dermatologist-tested.

Similar to other Wet ‘N’ Wild face products, their blushes are just housed in a plast packaging with a clear lid, and a slot for the brushes. And yes, the packaging, does feel cheap and flimsy so you will need to take care of it if in case you take this for traveling. It can also acquire a lot of scratches over time even if it’s just in your storage. This is also something that I forgot to mention in my previous review regarding The Naked Truth eyeshadow palette. The blush brush is okay. You can definitely use it if you’re traveling and you want to fit everything in a small pouch.

Wet 'N' Wild Color Icon Blush in 'Pearlescent Pink' - Review, Photos & Swatches

Pearlescent Pink is a beautiful warm pink shade with tiny specs of silver in it. I actually thought that the blush can be really intense since WnW products are known for their extreme color payoff. But when I lightly tapped my brush onto the pan and applied it on to my cheeks, It wasn’t as vibrant as I expected, which is not exactly a bad thing because overly pigmented blushes are not really good for beginners. Nevertheless, the blush is still very buildable and very easy to apply/blend.

Similar to WnW eyeshadows, this blush also very soft and creamy to the touch. This one also has a nice pigmentation and a decent color payoff. Though like I said previously, it may not have an extreme color payoff, it’s exactly what I prefer personally. That way, you won’t have to really be cautious in applying & blending your blush specially if you’re in a hurry. #clowncheeks What I also like about this blush is that it’s not powdery, nor does it look cakey when applied. It doesn’t give me any fall outs so it leaves the packaging clean after every use.

This blush lasted on me for more than 4-5 hours depending on where I am. I’ve used this outside while running and so far it lasted for the entire day. Though it might’ve faded a bit since I sweat like crazy, mind you. I also tested this while I was at home, and it lasted me for nearly 5 hours. By then it started to fade.

Wet 'N' Wild Color Icon Blush in 'Pearlescent Pink' - Review, Photos & Swatches

Similar to their eyeshadow palettes, Wet ‘N’ Wild Color Icon blushes don’t really have any particular scent. So if you’re not in to scented makeups, you might want to try these out.

I really like this blush because it’s suitable for day to day use. It gives me the right amount of glow that I need and I can freely skip applying a highlighter if I want to.
For Php 287, I think yes. It may not be the cheapest drugstore brand but for the quality of the product itself I think it’s definitely worth it.
Perhaps a different shade.

I love the color though I haven’t tried their blush yet. Maybe the packaging is compensated for its affordable price. But after your review, I think this blush is a great buy. I would try one too.
