Heroine Make Mineral BB Cream - Review, Photos & Swatches

Hi loves! This update was supposed to be up days ago but my server’s having some issues. Just when you’re feeling productive right? Anyway, if you’ve been following my posts, you will know that I have been loving this BB Cream from Heroine and it’s the Heroine Make Mineral BB Cream.

I know this isn’t helpful but that’s the closest I can get.

I really love the packaging of this product. It comes in a pearl-pink squeeze tube packaging with a tiny nozzle small enough to let you control how much product you would like to use. The only downside is that, since it’s an Asian makeup product, there’s no English translation.

I am using shade #01 and it’s a bit lighter than my skin tone but it blends perfectly when I use my Ellana Angled Flat Top Kabuki Brush. This BB Cream has yellow undertones so it’s perfect for us Pinays. The only downside it only offers two shades. I have shade #02 but I haven’t busted it out yet so I don’t know the difference (apologies) but my point is that it doesn’t cater to all skin types, and knowing that most Pinays are also kayumanggi, I’m afraid this wont be an option for those women.

The consistency of this BB cream is very lightweight compared to most Asian BB creams. It’s not as heavy and thick and it provides a semi-matte finish as well which is why I love it so much. It also doesn’t give me that heavy white cast. Further, as for the coverage, it can cover some minor flaws such as discolorations, redness but as for blemishes and bumps, I would still recommend a concealer. But it’s also buildable which is something that I really like.

In this photo, I used the Heroine Make BB Loose Powder to set it and if you know me I really cannot stand NOT setting my base makeup with a powder. I am going to review that loose powder soon, but let’s stick with this BB cream first. Anyway, what I also love about this BB Cream is that it didn’t emphasize any of the dry areas of my face. It doesn’t have that really tacky feeling that you get from other BB creams which I really hate sometimes (but you have to get used to in the name of beauty and all that jazz). It sets perfectly, and the BB Cream lasted for nearly 6 hours and without a primer.

The more I smell this right of the tube, I really don’t detect a hint of scent. I don’t know if it’s just me but I really don’t smell anything. If it does have a scent, it’s obviously very subtle.

4 Hearts! O Yeaa!

I really love this BB Cream. If not for the limited shade selection, along with the limited store location and the price, I would totally give this a 5. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this if you’re looking for a really good BB cream. Despite the high SPF, it does not give me that ghostly white cast when I take some photos even if the flash is on.
I would say yes, because it’s still a drugstore BB Cream and not all drugstore BB Creams are like this. It’s not very often that you would find a drugstore BB cream that practically acts like a foundation. It provides a light to medium coverage and it lasts for a really long time. Heroine Make is a brand known for their longevity and this product proves that.
Oh yes! Nuff said!

• Product Name | Heroine Make Mineral BB Cream
• Shade | No. 01 • Price | Php 595
• Avalability | Heroine Make counter at SM Store, SM MOA

So those are my thoughts regarding this particular product. Like I said before, I’m totally in love with this BB Cream. If I’m not using a foundation (which is not that often these days), trust that I’m using this BB Cream instead.

  • Since my skin’s more of the “morena”, I guess, this one’s not for me. But the packaging looks good, cute/ kawaii ♥

    • Yup, the packaging’s really cute

Still haven’t tried Heroine Make until now as it’s not available anywhere near. Maybe on Sunday, before or after the BDJ Fair, I might buy one, if I still have time. Hmm, I haven’t been really using BB creams recently. I just use liquid foundations, so yeah, I don’t have a favorite as of the moment. As for the Heoine Make BB cream, I like its consistency on you, and the shade as well, perfect on your skin. I like it’s packaging too. I don’t mind about it’s price since it gave off a good effect on skin, didn’t cause allergic reactions, and most of all, it has high SPF! I really can’t wait for it to be distributed in major stores.

    • Thanks, Abegail! :*

  • I think shade 2 will be okay for me. It is darker than this, right? The packaging is really cute and girly. You can never have too many products if the packaging is darn cute. I think the price is okay for a bb cream that is long lasting and has a yellow undertone to it. The sad part tho is MOA is far from my place. Nice review sis, as always.

    • A bit, yes.

      Thanks, Michelle! :*

  • Very reasonably-priced. I’d definitely look for this when I finish using my current BB cream.

    • You’re going to love it

I can’t emphasize more how much I love wearing sunscreen. I have outgrown hating lotion and other cream products. My priority is skincare and protection. I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this before, but anyway, I LOVE running. I always apply sunscreen before running because I like running in the morning. The thing with my sunscreen is that it has ZERO coverage. I’m quite impressed because my face lotion only has SPF20. This one has SPF50! This is definitely on my to-buy list.

    • Me too, I’ve forgotten lotions & other stuff but skincare’s always been my priority. Oh, and if you love sunscreen this much, you should try the Isehan Sunscreen. It also has SPF 50+

Hello, Yette. It’s the first time I’ve heard of this brand. I looked it up online and found out that it is/was a Japanese product (read a blog that says it was discontinued). Do you know a local online shop that sells this? Thanks in advance.

        • Unfortunately, I’m not aware of any online shops that sells Heroine Make cosmetics. But I’m pretty sure that this is not yet discontinued. You can find these at SM MOA

          • Dane Salazar

Sorry for the confusion, I mean the Isehan sunscreen.

  • Wow! The product looks promising. I remember I got an event to their event.. too bad I wasn’t able to come..sayang.. na experience ko na sana products nila.. huhuhu

ok yung products ng heroine.. maganda nga magblend yung bb cream nila, mejo naging oily lang after 2 hours sakin

  • Very cute packaging, i am dying to try products from this brand too bad wala pa sila counter sa SM near my place. ;(

  • I haven’t found my perfect BB cream yet and too bad Heroine has very limited shades. I don’t think they’ll suit my skin tone. Anyway, impressive staying-power! I’m curious, is that 6 hours indoor or outdoor?
