Ellana Pressed Mineral Blush Duo in 'Kitten & Peach Passion' - Review, Photos & Swatches

Hi loves! I cannot believe that I haven’t reviewed this product yet. This has always been a favorite blush of mine ever since I got it. It’s always been a staple in my makeup routine. I know that I’ve been into tons of blushes lately but for some reason I always go back to this one. It’s the Ellana Pressed Mineral Blush Duo in ‘Kitten & Peach Passion’.

The packaging of this one is very similar to Ellana Minerals Pressed Mineral Powder Foundations (which I reviewed months ago – click here to read) only that this one has a different illustration and of course, this one contains two blushes side by side. I like the packaging of this one and I like that it contains two blushes in one magnetic compact. It has a decent-sized mirror and the packaging in itself is quite sturdy. It doesn’t open easily and despite the white cover, it doesn’t attract a lot of dust. The only thing I don’t like really about this is that the pan wasn’t glued hard enough to the packaging. But that can easily be remedied with either a double-sided tape or a super glue.

Kitten – Is a shimmery, slightly muted Pink shade that has tiny golden specs in it. It’s really beautiful once you apply it on your cheeks. Sometimes I don’t even use a highlight anymore when I use this blush
Peach Passion – Is a nice shimmery, golden peachy blush that goes well with every eye look and every lip color. It’s the perfect blush for your day and/or night look.

I prefer to apply these blushes with my Marrionnaud No. 3 Angled Blush Brush. I apply it from my cheek upwards to have that lifting effect.

Each of these blushes are very pigmented and they have a nice color payoff. They’re quite subtle when you apply them on your cheeks but you can definitely build them up to your preferred opacity. It does not look cakey, not does it appear chalky. It is not powdery either. It has the smoothest, buttery texture and it’s very easy to blend.

These blushes lasted on me for more than four hours. I’ve been wearing these blushes a lot lately, I’m interchanging them (when I’m wearing pink lippie I wear ‘Kitten’ then when I wear nude or other colors, I wear ‘Peach Passion’) and even when I sweat it still lasts the entire day with minimal fading. I’m very impressed with this one.

The product does not have any scent in particular. That’s what I like with Ellana Minerals. Their makeups doesn’t have any particular scent so those who have very sensitive nostrils wont have any issue with their products.

No scent

Pan is not hardly glued at the packaging
Can’t think of anything else.
Not being biased here.
Stop asking.
Don’t force me to put something here because I won’t.
Try it first. Mkay?

I have been gushing over this blush ever since I got it and this blush deserves a 5/5 rating.
It’s very affordable and it already contains 2 blushes in one compact. Basically you get PhP 225 per blush which is a lot cheaper than an ELF Studio Blush! What I love about this blush is that each shade is quite different from another yet you can pair them with endless looks. Oh and the glow that it gives my face, sometimes, I don’t even need a highlight anymore.
It doesn’t matter actually what shade you get, they offer a ton of shade selections for you to choose from and I’ve tried a couple and I’ve swatched some of them at The Ramp, Trinoma and believe me when I tell you. This blush duo is DA BOMB! >.<
I also plan on hoarding different shades. #makeuphoarder #hoarderproblems

Nice blush. The colors are very versatile and perfect for daily use. I want blushes like that one! Currently I’m using a blush from Avon. Great review!

  • this is very practical, 2 blushes in one , I love the peach passion shade, on how it gives that effortlessly glow on you, it is not that visible it really looks natural and BTW, what’s the name of your pink lippie? sooo cute it is so subtle and very youthful.

  • What I currently use as cheek color is my Etude House tint choux which can function as a lip and cheek tint. I’ve never tried anything from Ellana since I’m pretty satisfied with what I use right now. But Ellana will surely be my next foundation and cheek color purchases after my current ones are all gone. I’ve been wanting to switch up what I use for my makeup routine when I started reading beauty blogs. They made me want to explore more on makeup haha!

  • I thought the Peach Passion would have a kind of matte-tan finish but I liked it when you did a swatch on that shade. It even looks good on you. The 450 price is just right for those ample amount of products.
