May 2014 Faves
Bare Naturals The Mane Event Nourishment Hair Mask
I got this from my April 2014 Glamourbox and ever since I got it, I have been loving it! It makes my hair feel really soft yet volumized. Not a lot of hair masks can do that. At least in my case. Moisturize & give your hair that oomph, at the same time? Oh, and this smells so good. I remembered, I compared the scent of this one to those ‘Kisses’ and it does smell like that before you put it on your hair. But once applied, the scent changes to something. I still love the smell no matter what. It leaves my hair soft and smooth, with as I’ve mentioned, a hint of volume.
Burt’s Bees Daisy White Moisturizing Cream &
The Body Shop White Musk EDT
I got my Burt’s Bees Daisy White Moisturizing Cream at the beginning of May and when I tested it I had positive results. I loved it right away. It’s very moisturizing. It’s a bit on the heavier side, but it got rid of all my dry spots. Among the entire line, this is my favorite. I’ll be reviewing this line soon.
Lastly, I have been using my The Body Shop White Musk EDT since December last year. I don’t even know why I didn’t update you guys about this, but it’s been my favorite. Whenever I’m about to run errands, this is the EDT I wear. It has a sweet subtle, musky scent, and I love it because the longer I have it on, the more noticeable I find it. I don’t know if it’s just me, lol. I just love it to bits.
ZA True White Liquid Foundation & Chanel CC Cream
These two are the ones that I have been using alternately this past month. It was really hot last month that wearing a heavier/thicker foundation was not really an option for me so I opted to use these two. They’re one of the most lightweight yet buildable foundations I have ever used.
Clinique Cheek Pop in ‘Peach Pop’ &
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in ‘Radiant Magenta’
I have been so in love with thee two blushes! They’re amazing. True, you can never go wrong with peachy shades. Now, that I compare them side by side, they’re quite similar but ‘Radiant Magenta’ gives me that beautiful glow perhaps due to the tiny golden specs in it. While, ‘Peach Pop’ gives me that diffused airbrushed finish.
Essence Gel Eyeliner in ‘Midnight in Paris’
& L’oreal Lash Out Butterfly Mascara
You pretties know that I am not fond of gel liners, I hate them. But Joyce used a gel liner on my niece and she did her eyes beautifully (as always). I thought to myself, I really have to get into that bandwagon. I bought this one because I’ve been hearing so much about it. I loved it instantly. It glides on smoothly, it’s PITCH BLACK, oh and it doesn’t smudge. It’s like Wet & Wild’s minus the drying up and the crappy packaging.
Then this mascara, the L’oreal Lash Out Butterfly Mascara. I love this mascara, but the smell! Ooh! It has a strong chemical scent that whenever I use it, I had to not breathe. Take note, that I’m not exaggerating. I don’t mind cosmetics with a hint of chemically-scent, but this one is a bit overpowering. Other than that, this one gives me great results and I’ve often been asked whether I’m wearing false lashes whenever I use this. So, whatever, I still love it.
MAC Matte Lipstick in ‘Please Me’ &
Happy Skin Shut Up & Kiss Me in ‘The Morning After’
These two have been my go to lippies for the past month and even to this very day. I don’t know what’s up with me that I don’t like wearing bold statement lippies (except last June 1st where I just decided to wear ‘Kooky’ from MUA) but regardless, these two are definitely my ‘MLBB’ shades and I can’t get enough of these two. I’m definitely sad that ‘The Morning After’ is only a limited edition. I hope I can grab me some backups.
China Glaze Nail Polish in ‘Side Saddle’
& Girl Stuff Nail Polish in ‘Orange’
Girl Stuff for my fingernails and China Glaze ‘Side Saddle’ for my toes.
So those are my favorite products for the month of May. Told you there’s nothing much new. Yes, I’ve been using makeup but the ones that I have been using a lot are the ones that I’ve mentioned tons of times already. Aside from those, these are the ones that are what I refer to as “new”. Oh well, how about you? What are your favorite products for the month of May? Let me know.
