Caronia The Art Of Dance Special Collection

When you mix color and movement, what do you get? A symphony of expressions.

Caronia brings color to new heights with this year’s nail polish collections, in partnership with the country’s first professional dance company, Ballet Philippines. “This is the first corporate partnership of Ballet Philippines and we are happy to have Caronia as our partner,” says Margie Moran-Floirendo, Ballet Philippines President.

The first collection, called “Art of Dance”, marks the opening of Ballet Philippines’ 45th season. It is also Caronia’s first Toluene and Formaldehyde-Free collection, featuring three distinct colors: ‘Piqué’, a regular polish in a delicate salmon pink shade that lets out that ballerina in you; ‘Chassé’, a regular polish with a royal blue shade that sets the elegance of ballet on your nails; and ‘Glissade’, a light green regular polish that gives a smooth glide on every summer outfit.

Caronia The Art Of Dance Special Collection

My Thoughts: Caronia was my first brand of nail polish, and I’ve had my first nail polish since I was five. No kidding. My mom painted my nails with her red Caronia nail polish and when she found out that I really liked it, she bought me a pink one. I came to school the next day with my red nail polish and my teacher didn’t know whether to laugh or to reprimand me. I think I remember her talking to my mom. Anyway, Caronia was also the brand of nail polish I used during my Elementary Dance, and pretty much whenever I have something to celebrate. I love their nail polishes. And this collection, was no different. I love the colors, I love the formula, I love that it’s really opaque and it’s non-streaky. It’s very comparable to most of my imported nail polishes, and most of all it’s very affordable.

Also I really like this collection because the colors are really unique for a local brand. Yes, I’ve seen these shades from some foreign lines, but it’s not every time that you see these types of colors at a local brand. They have regular finishes and the colors are very fit for summer, yet they can be worn during events as well (since some of the shades in this collection are not as vibrant)

So if you’re looking for new shades to rock this Summer, then I suggest trying this Collection. Not only will you be able to wear these vibrant shades, but you will also be helping the Ballet Philippines Foundation’s Noordin Jumalon Scholarship Program. Oh, and who knows, you might just win yourself tickets for the ballet!

Lovely colors! And how nice of Caronia and Ballet Philippines to collaborate on a collection as pretty as this.

    • True, I love this collection. I hope they come out with more collections soon

I’m also a fan of Caronia, though I’m still learning the art of applying it, hehe (at an age of 38, would you believe), anyways I buy them and bring my color of the day to the manicure specialist. But what I like more about Caronia is how they give importance to social relevant collaborations like this wherein more are benefiting, not just the fashionosta’s in all of us! – Joy of

    • True, I couldn’t agree more!

  • Will buy this just for Chasse, but the other two are great bonuses. Wait, are these sold separately too?

  • Now that you mention it i don’t think i see a lot of polish brands that carry a wide range of colors. When I see local brands, they’re mostly pearly pinks and reds (ugh boring). I’m fine with Caronia though I think I’d have a better experience if they built a better brush. I hate the long and flimsy strands

    • True, I agree with their brushes. I think most local nail polish brands have that kind of brush. I don’t like those types of brushes either. They’re very hard to control to think that I often make nail polish boo-boos. That’s why I placed the swatches in a nail polish wheel, lol.

The thing I dont like about caronia is their formula. I have several bottles of nailpolish that is after half a yeay or even a year works great still (they are cheaper than caronia) but my caronia nail polishes, they tend to become sticky after using.

    • I agree. But what I do is that I place Solvent so I can regain their usual formula. Here’s hoping they’ll reformulate their nail polishes

I think Pique is my favorite out of the three! I love peachy, pink colors like that because they suit my skin tone best

    • Me too! I love Peachy pink colors and sometimes some of them don’t match my skin tone but Pique matches my skin tone best

  • Love all the colors from this collection. It’s very refreshing to the eyes Chasse is the ultimate fave

    • I love Chasse too!
