Weekly Raves #4: TCF Scrub-in-a-Tub in ‘Goat’s Milk & Cinnamon’

Hey everyone! Before we start our drugstore/budget-friendly series, I thought I’d share to you another TCF (The Cream Factory) product that I have been obsessed about ever since I got it. It’s the The Cream Factory Scrub-in-a-Tub ‘Goat’s Milk & Cinnamon’.

Weekly Raves #4: TCF Scrub-in-a-Tub in 'Goat's Milk & Cinnamon'

What is it

The Cream Factory Scrub-in-a-Tub is offered in three variants: Salty – which is composed of rock salt crystals to really exfoliate our skin (comes in Seaweed and Witch Hazel flavors), Creamy – a nutty treat with walnut sprinkles to get rid of our skin’s impurities (comes in Honey and Jojoba), and finally Yummy – which consists of bits of cocoa beans to awaken our skin. (comes in Almond and Cinnamon). The one that I have, however, is in ‘Goat’s Milk & Cinnamon’ which means that I have the ‘Yummy’ variant, and I’m telling you, it really does live up to its claims.

The product’s packaging is quite simple, yet direct to the point. It comes in a plastic tub with a flip-top cap for your convenience. Inside, upon opening, you’ll see a really cute pamphlet telling you all you need to know about the brand, The Cream Factory as well as their exfoliating creams. You will need to remove the white lid inside the cap to be able to use the flip-top cover.

What’s To Rave About

Just like the The Cream Factory Bath Creams, the smell of this product is also heavenly. Smelling this off the tub reminds me of Starbucks and Tootsie Roll for some reason. It really does smell Yummy. I also love the fact that despite that this is an exfoliating scrub, the texture/consistency is still very creamy. Therefore, if you have a dry skin like me, you’ll still get to experience that nourishing & moisturizing aspect of the product, which is the goat’s milk. While also, being able to exfoliate & purify your skin with the help of the cocoa bean bits.

Weekly Raves #4: TCF Scrub-in-a-Tub in 'Goat's Milk & Cinnamon'

Just like the TCF Bath Creams, the smell of this lingers and it takes me back to a ton of places, actually. I don’t know where it takes me back to whether my childhood, back when I’m so addicted to Tootsie Rolls or Starbucks, because both are such fond addictions, lol. Nevertheless, I still love the scent. It lingers and another plus factor is that even my bathroom smells extra yummy after I take a bath.

Weekly Raves #4: TCF Scrub-in-a-Tub in 'Goat's Milk & Cinnamon'

If you have been following/reading my blog for a while, you’ll know that I love exfoliating scrubs that are quite abrasive. That’s how I know that they’re working, LOL. But this one, this is really gentle and not that abrasive. You get to feel the bits of cocoa beans along with the creamy chocolate concoction working together. I guess that’s the reason why I really like this product. It’s different from most of the exfoliating scrubs that I’ve tried before. It’s just the perfect balance between the creaminess of the goat’s milk & the exfoliating bits of the cocoa beans. Like I said before, you get to exfoliate your skin and at the same time moisturize it. The others before were either too abrasive so I only use it one to two times a week, others are too liquidy, you don’t even feel them once you rub it in your hands. They melt quickly and all you have is a bath cream.

Like always, a little of this product goes a long way. However, since I’m pretty much addicted to this product, I’m not really satisfied with just ‘a little’. I have to remind myself repeatedly that it’s still an exfoliating product, so I only have to use it at least three to four times a week, and that I need to do soemthing after taking a bath. Because taking a bath with this along with my favorite The Cream Factory Bath Cream in ‘Goat’s Milk & Honey’ is like something that I look forward to everyday. It’s exhilarating, and the smell? Oh! Heavenly. These products are truly a desert for your skin.

Nagiging 1 hour yung ligo ko dahil dito -________- I even put clock na sa CR para ma-time ko yung pagligo ko :)) I use this everyday pero non-drying naman siya so far. We got the same variant pala! Super bango no? Ay I forgot to take a photo ng bottom part -________-

    • Grabe ha, tinimingan pa talaga, sis. Lol. But well, I some times have to set an alarm pag naliligo ako and oftentimes when I use that scrub, I press the ‘snooze’ button a lot, lol. Nope, non-drying sha. But the reason why I don’t use it on an everyday basis is tinitipid ko ren, lol

  • WOW. They are not even overpriced. This looks really yummy I might have to stay away from the yummy variant because I might try to eat it, hahaha!

I was amazed how it transforms its color from brown to white bubbles. I mean yung ibang scrub kase, if brown ang color, brown until matapos. Hindi pa rin ako makahanap ng cf. Gusto ko itong itry talaga. Scrub at the same time, nagmomoisturize din siya. Can we use it also sa face Ms. Yhette? Thank you!

    • You can buy them online if you really wanna try it, or at Beauty Bar.

I haven’t tried it on my face yet, but I’ve heard from my co-blogger that it works as a facial scrub as well.

Before,I was using the asian secrets body scrub. They are really light on skin and about 2 months ko din syang ginamit but sadly, walang nangyaring kung ano sa balat ko. It didn’t even moisturized or exfoliate ng dead skin cells. That’s why medyo dala ako sa pagamit ng scrub. But the good thing that really get my attention is this one. I heard a lot, a LOT talaga how this scrub makes wonders on the skin. My mom told me this before as she have seen at your faves but we haven’t had a chance to buy this one. Maybe soon. I just wanted to ask if this body scrub needs a moisturizer after I washed it off? And what is the difference between sugar and salt scrubs? Which one works the best? Hihi. Thank you Mam Yhette,

    • Well, it really depends on you. But sometimes (well, oftentimes) I forget to apply a moisturizer, and it works, I don’t feel dry afterwards, and I still feel my skin soft and supple even days after (since I don’t use this on a daily basis).

The salt scrub, as far as I know is for deep exfoliating, if you really wanna get rid of the dead skin, then that’s what you can use. The cream scrubs are for purifying, it has a thicker consistency, as far as I can remember, which is also good for moisturizing. This one is for re-awakening the skin.

I’m not really sure with regards to which works best. I guess it depends on your needs and your preference.
