Weekly Raves #1 – TCFS Dinoplatz Lip Balm

Hi everyone! So today I want to introduce a ‘thing’ or rather a ‘segment’ that I’ll be doing on a weekly basis, and that’s the Weekly Raves. This is the part of my blog where I’ll be introducing you guys my favorite item at that particular week. The item doesn’t always have to be new, and this wont be as detailed as my usual product reviews. Of course there will be photos and some helpful information but, like I said, it wont be like my reviews. Anyway, let’s get started, shall we? The first item that I’ll be showing you guys is the Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Lip Balm

Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Lip Balm

As you guys may already know, I’m addicted obsessed with lip balms so everywhere I go, I basically check out every lip balm I come across. This one particularly piqued my interest. The smell of this one reminds me of my favorite berry-flavored candies, and it’s like ‘deja-vu’, I almost wanna taste it. The color reminds me of ‘jelly-ace’, it looks so yummy. And of course, the texture does not disappoint. It’s very moisturizing and it gives a slight touch of color when applied.

Though this product is very moisturizing, it does not heal wounded & chapped lips. You see, due to my lower braces, I tend to have those kinds of dilemma so I sometimes tend to over-exfoliate. This, unfortunately doesn’t help in healing chapped lips. Also, another thing that you have to take into consideration, is the prize. I forgot the exact amount, but this lip balm costs more than PhP 600 which is basically equivalent to six lip balms or more. Not very budget friendly, eh?

Regardless of its cons, I still love this product. It’s currently one of my favorite lip balms and I really love it to bits. TCFS Dinoplatz lip balm, I believe is offered in 5-6 shades, and this is the one I got because of its shade and scent. It doesn’t give my lips the hint of color like I wanted it to but I’m good with that.

Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Lip Balm

All in all, I really do love this product. I do think that it’s expensive but since it already contains a lot of product, and TCFS is not really the most affordable Korean brand out there, it’s kinda okay. Also, like I said, I’m obsessed with everything about this lip balm.

So, how about you, lovelies? What is your current favorite lip balm? Or better yet? Are you a fan of Too Cool For School products? Do you like any of their lip/face products? Let me know!

I tried several brands like ChapStick, Nivea, Maybelline Baby Lips, and eos. I am currently using eos since I’m hiyang and I love the container too.

    • Hihi

I love EOS too! I love using EOS as a base for my lipsticks, because it’s moisturizing yet it’s not that heavy so my lipstick wont slide off, or something

  • Hi Ms Yette! Does this have an applicator?
Are lip tints considered as lip balms?
    sorry for the questions hihi

    • Nope, it doesn’t include an applicator. Lip tints are actually different.

With regard to your second question, my answer is IT DEPENDS. Some lip tints can also be used on your cheeks (Etude Dear Darling TInt, Benefit Cheek/Lip tints) but they don’t have moisturizing properties so they can’t be considered as a lip balm.

Tinted lip balms, I would say are those from Baby Lips (their pink, orange & red versions), the NIchido Lip blush, ones from Nivea, from Lip Ice, etc…

      • So what do you use to apply it? Don’t you think it’s unhygienic without an applicator? Please convince me! hihi
Thanks for answering my 2nd question. I am enlightened!

        • I honestly don’t. Maybe, I’m just weird like that, and I understand that it’s really unhygienic for a lot of people, but I just make sure my hands are clean. Of course I wont apply this with my hands really dirty otherwise, eww. :S

You can always use a cotton swab or those disposable doe-foot sponge applicators (the ones that are used for lip glosses) if you’re really that OC about germs, and stuff.. Hehe
