PACKAGING I really like the packaging of this one. The combination of black and gold was definitely not tacky. It was very put together. The black ribbons (not really sure what they are, if they are ribbons or straps) overlapping each other, totally signifies the ‘Rebel’ side of the palette. The palette also comes with decent-sized mirror allowing you to see at least half of your face while doing your eye makeup. It has a magnetic closure, similar to UD Naked/Lorac Pro‘s. The box’s design is also similar to the palette’s. It also came with an instructional guide on how to achieve certain looks (3 looks) using the said palette.

COLOR PAYOFF/PIGMENTATION ‘Too Faced Pretty Rebel LE Eyeshadow palette’ is consists of 10 new shades. Three are metallic, two are matte, two are shimmery, the other two are frosty and the last one is a satin, pearly finish.

        •    Dainty (Matte finish)
        •    Charming (Matte finish)
        •    Girly (Duochrome/iridescent, metallic finish)
        •    Totally Fetch (Satin, pearly finish)
        •    Miss Sparkles (Shimmery/sparkly finish)
        •    Ringleader (Frosty finish)
        •    Gangsta (Frosty finish)
        •    Instigator (Metallic finish)
        •    Badass (Shimmery/sparkly finish)
        •    Jailbird (Metallic finish)

All of these shades have an amazing color pay off and they’re ridiculously pigmented as well. Each color is true to the pan and they’re very buildable to your preferred intensity. Among all of these, my favorites are Girly (which is a very beautiful metallic, duo-chrome finish, perfect combo of brown & green), Totally Fetch (a fuchsia pink color, reminds me of Mean Girls – of course!), Instigator (more yellow-toned gold than ‘Half-Baked’ from Urban Decay Naked & ‘Gold’ from Lorac Pro), Badass (blue shimmery/sparkly finish with fine, silver specs) and Jailbird (a true silver color, reminds me of a silver spray paint when swatched, because it’s THAT pigmented). You guys know that I love my neutral palettes, however, these colors are just AH-MAZE-BALLS! All of these shades are a perfect match for each other and not even one of them are out of place. Whoever thought of putting all of these colors together is a genius! (probably a ‘Pretty Rebel’ too if I may say so, lol).

FORMULATION/TEXTURE These babies have the creamiest texture. They glide on like butter and they’re very easy to apply/blend. Since they’re so pigmented, a little of them goes a long way, especially the shimmery & the metallic ones, so they’re a bit prone to fall-outs (not that major though). Just remember to tap your brush off the excess so you wont end up with fall-outs all over your cheeks.

Too Faced Limited Edition Pretty Rebel Eyeshadow Palette - Review, Photos & Swatches

PERFORMANCE/LONGEVITY As mentioned, they’re only prone to fall-outs since they’re heavily pigmented. But you’ll only encounter that in a few shades, (like Jailbird & Miss Sparkles) it’s not really a major issue for me, since sometimes I myself forget to tap my brush and I dont’ see those fall-outs that often. And as previously mentioned, they were very easy to apply & blend. They were not powdery nor chalky. The consistency of these eyeshadows are just amazing. On bare lids, these eyeshadows lasted on me for six hours but with a primer, they lasted me for over eight hours, nearly the entire day, without creasing or fading.

I love it! I don’t know how else am I going to say it. It’s uber pigmented and it’s something I don’t mind having even though I have tons of neutral palettes. The nice pop of color (Totally Fetch, Badass & Jailbird) was genius. Every color goes together with this palette. You can never go wrong.
♥ WORTH THE MONEY? REPURCHASE? ♥
YES
If you are into neutral shades, but you’re looking for a good hint of color (particularly jewel-toned), then this is for you. I don’t regret buying this at all. I know that I already have Naked & Lorac Pro, but this is really different from all of the palettes I own. It’s a good balance between day and night shades. It’s the perfect palette for those who want something that they can wear on a daily basis, but can also accommodate their after hour events.

This palette is great since it’s a mix of neutrals and jewel tones. But I particularly love ringleader and gangsta. I love the second look you did with the silver lids and purple lips. Great look! Thanks for this post!

  • I like the first look. Yay! I love all the color especially Instigator nice names pa.

Okay lang na pricey siya if collectors item ba. :))

    • Yeah the names of the shades from the top row are like Ms. Goody-Two-Shoes while on the bottom row, she became rebellious. This palette reminds me of the movie ‘Thirteen’.

  • Jam Daquio

this is a helpful tool for bellas like us. it seemed that the most wanted colors are there.

  • This palette reminds me so much of UD! The packaging inside and out, looks sooooo much like those of UD’s! Anyway, the colors are really interesting, but the Girly, Gangsta and Instigator totally got my attention. I’m not sure if I’ll be getting this since I don’t really put on eye makeup that much na. But who knows, the pretty colors might entice me to buy some time soon XD

    • Thanks Sumi! it does look like UD from the packaging to the pigmentation itself. & Girly’s a very interesting shade. You’re going to love it

  • I only like Jailbird because it’s the only one that swatched evenly and opaquely! However, it all looked pretty darn good when you wore them!

  • I love the colors and how it has a variety of colors its the first time I heard about the brand. Love the swatches too

  • Wow I love the packaging and the colors! It’s almost as the same price with Naked. Which do you prefer? I hope I’ll be able to touch some of my palettes too My favorite would be the hot pink shade

    • Aww.. that’s a hard question. I’m an UD girl by heart. Lol.

I guess if you’re looking for variety rather than just pure neutral shades, then this is what you’re looking for.^_^

  • This seems interesting. It looks kinda similar to the UD Smoked Palette. Hehe, nice!

    • Hi, Victoria! That’s nice to know. I don’t have the UD Smoked palette yet.

  • wooow! I like the color and the packaging sis! love it

  • Lei Diwa

This palette looks great, but I think this is for those who loves shimmery e/s. I don’t have expensive palette yet, but I would like to try out NAKED 1 or 2 For now I just own, wet and wild palette which I really love cause it’s a combination of matte and shimmer shadows. I love your review showing swatches on hands and face is a big diff. It will be more appreciated on an MOTD rather than just swatching on your hands or arms. Love your new set up here on ur blog

  • Thanks! I preordered it from my cousin.

  • Louise Ito

Sephora is <3. The price is really worth it. It shows on the product. The swatches is amazing, my favorite actually. And the packaging is really attractive & beautiful. Thank you for the wonderful review! I would love to try this & NAKED too. Gonna hunt for a review here on your blog!

  • I love it’s packaging! It really shows a rebellious but pretty woman. I’m fan of neutral eyeshadow, how much is this sis? Di ko nakita what is the price.

  • Haha, thanks Eyah

  • Omg i want!! The swatches look uhmazing. I’m also a sucker for anything in pretty, shiny, huge, rectangular packaging. Aside from this I want Too Faced Return of the Sexy as well!

    • Yup, I want that too but I don’t think that palette has any matte shadows in it. I wanna have the Too Faced Sephora

  • meganlev_13

nkakastun yung packaging nung too faced. eye catching eh. good advertising strategy na agad pa naman yun lalo na kapag maganda/classy/cute yung packaging. not only the packaging were the bomb but also the whole pigments of this palette were soo gorg. lalo na yung instigator and girly. ang powerful nung pigments nila.
