Natasha Lip Duos in Peach & Pink – Review, Photos & Swatches

Don’t you just love multi-tasking products? Things that you can stuff on your bag and has two or more purposes on ’em? I know I do. That’s why when I heard about these lip duos from Natasha, I didn’t hesitate. I know that this is something me and my readers will definitely be interested in trying out.

Product Description/Claims According to Natasha Beauty:

A lipstick on one side and a lipgloss on the other, Natasha Beauty Lip Duo comes very handy for chic women on-the-go

Natasha Lip Duos in Peach & Pink - Review, Photos & Swatches

PACKAGING Natasha Lip Duos’s packaging is pretty direct to the point. It has a lip gloss on one end and a lipstick on the other. The lip gloss has a doe foot applicator, which is kinda typical when it comes to lip glosses, while the lipstick already shows more than half of the product. I personally don’t dig this type of packaging when it comes to lipsticks (similar to Wet N’ Wild’s packaging) since I like my lipstick to roll all the way down to its tube. Because of my cheesy fingers, I have the tendency to nick most if not all of the sides of the lipstick before closing it.

Natasha Lip Duos in Peach & Pink - Review, Photos & Swatches

SHADE These lip duos are offered in 6 shades: Coral, Pink, Cosmos, Peach, Scarlet & Rose. I like both Peach and Pink since they’re both very wearable either day or night.

Coral Duo – Peach – is something that I didn’t expect to be so light. You know guys that I love my oranges/corals & pinks, and this one was no coral. More of a peach or nude. I guess that’s the reason why they named it as ‘Coral Duo – Peach’. It’s not true to the tube. In the tube you will see a vibrant, carrot-like orange (Click here for reference), while when swatched or worn, you will see a peachy nude color. Which is not bad actually, but a bit confusing if I may say so. It is still beautiful only, like I said, a bit confusing. I like wearing this with a heavy eye makeup.

Pink Duo – Pink – However, is a vibrant pink lip color, that is true to the tube. They’re both vibrant and have a brilliant opacity to cover your entire lips. I like wearing this with a neutral eye makeup.

Natasha Lip Duos in Peach & Pink - Review, Photos & Swatches

FORMULATION/CONSISTENCY Both of the lipsticks have a satin finish. Pink is quite opaque and was able to cover my entire lips with just two layers. Peach, however, has a sheerer so I had to apply three or more layers in order to get the coverage I want. I had no complaints with the lip glosses. They had amazing pigmentation and they were really opaque. They were a bit sticky but it’s not something that you have to be really bothered with. Both the lipstick and the lipgloss feel quite moisturizing so there’s no need to apply a lip balm if you don’t feel like it.

Natasha Lip Duos in Peach & Pink - Review, Photos & Swatches

APPLICATION As mentioned, the lipstick is already moisturizing so the need for a lip balm as a primer is no longer necessary. However, if you have extremely dry lips like me, then feel free (I still didn’t do it, lol). But trust me when I tell you that these lippies glide on smoothly like butter and they’ll moisturize your lips as long as they’re there. With regards to the lip gloss, both shades are opaque enough to cover my lips with just a single layer, so I need not to apply another coat.

PERFORMANCE & LONGEVITY We all know that I have dry, chappy lips. However, that didn’t show whether I am just wearing the lipstick or the lip gloss alone. I like how this did not settle nor emphasize the fine lines of my lips. Also, as previously mentioned both the lip gloss and the lipstick are very moisturizing. With regards to the longevity, I only had two hours of wear time using both lip products (either wearing alone or both). Sadly, longevity is not really one of the product’s strongest pro’s.

♥ PRODUCT BASICS ♥
Product Name | Natasha Lip Duo
• Shade |
Coral Duo – Peach & Pink Duo – Pink • Price | PhP 200
• Avalability | Natasha Dealers/Direct Sellers

SCENT The lip product (both the lipstick & the lip gloss) has a distinct milky/chocolaty scent that is not really bad. I used to hate overly scented products but this smells so sweet, it makes me crave for a huge chocolate bar. Seriously, though. The scent is no biggie unless you really don’t dig scented makeup.

Now, to summarize..

♥ PRO’S ♥
♥ CON’S ♥
2-in-1 product
Pink is true to the tube and has a brilliant opacity
The lip glosses are really pigmented!
Both products are very moisturizing especially the lip gloss
The lipstick glides on smoothly so there’s no need for a lip balm
Didn’t emphasize my dry, chappy lips, nor did it highlight the fine lines of my lips
Has a sweet, chocolaty smell
Affordable
Available locally
The lipstick doesn’t go all the way down to the tube
Coral Duo – Peach is quite deceiving since it looked more Peach rather than Coral. The color is not true to the tube.
Peach has a sheerer coverage. You need to apply three or more layers in order to cover your entire lip.
The lip gloss is a bit sticky.
Staying power is only 2 hours.
The sweet, chocolaty scent might be a turn off for those who doesn’t like scented makeups
Not widely available. Need to find a Natasha dealer.
A bit hard to choose the shade from the brochure
♥ THE VERDICT ♥

I think that this is a great product especially for ladies who are always on the hunt for budget-friendly products. This is also appropriate for those who are always on the go and doesn’t want to bring tons of stuff. I like that both the lipstick and the lipgloss has a good amount of pigmentation. They’re affordable without sacrificing the quality.
♥ WORTH THE MONEY? REPURCHASE♥ ?
Definitely worth the money & Definitely will repurchase
It’s worth it because you get two products in one price. Basically it’s like PhP 100 for the lipstick and another PhP 100 for the lip gloss, and you’re paying wayyy low for a really good product. Have you seen those swatches? Especially those lip glosses? OMG. I’ve seen more expensive lip glosses that have lesser pigmentation! Definitely worth the money and definitely worth checking out.

FOTD FACE : 4U2 Faith BB Cream, Naturactor Cover Face Concealer/Foundation #130 & #140, Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder; BROWS : Look Beauty Brow Perfect Kit; EYES : Essence I Love Stage Eyeshadow Base, 4U2 Diamond Eye 2-color Eyeshadow #21, Urban Decay 24hr Glide On Eye Pencil in ‘Zero’, Clio Professional Waterproof Brush Liner Kill Black, Benefit They’re Real; CHEEKS: Sleek Face Contour Kit in ‘Medium’, NYX Blush in ‘Peach’, MeMeMe Facial Highlighter in ‘Oyster Gold’; LIPS L- Natasha Lip Duo in Coral Duo – Peach; R – Natasha Lip Duo in Pink Duo – Pink

Overall, I think the only issue I have with this product is the packaging, the wear time and the color. I really thought it was a ‘Coral’ lipstick. But who knows I might be mistaken. Regardless, these lip products are worth checking out because even if I made a mistake in picking my shade, Peach is definitely a beautiful shade and especially the lip gloss.

Both shades looks good on you sis, am not fond of lip gloss though the lipstick will do :). Keep the informative posts pouring.

    • Thanks, hun. You’re so sweet

I never tried make ups from Natasha but these two looks promising. The down side of buying make ups from brochure is that you cannot test them before hand making me seldom buying any of those. Anyways, ang ganda-ganda talaga ng photos mo Ang galing!

    • This is actually my first along with the face duo which I’ll be reviewing soon.

True. I agree. You never know what you’re going to get and the return policy here in our country kinda varies from store to store & they kinda suck too.

      Thanks, Rosalie! You’re the sweetest

      • Rosalie B.Tangonan

Sobrang matrabaho pa minsan tsaka matagal yung papapapalit ng items kaya usually I opted to buy at department stores or direct sa boutique o shops. Thank you so much!

  • Gina May J. Mungcal

When a lipstick it’s self is moisturizing, I instantly like it because like you, I have a very dry lips (cause of not drinking water that much) but the only thing that I doubt on buying this lipsticks is that they fade easily.. di pa naman ako mahilig mag retouch ng lipstick

    • True ako ren.. Lol.

  • Kelly Chin

i like to read your review. its so details & informative. awesome. hopefully we will have natasha in malaysia soon.

  • Jam Daquio

whoah! so we have to keep on having a retouch for every two hours. whew. but taking to the consideration that it has two uses in one stick, pwede na din.

    • Yeah that’s the downside of this product. But you’re right, you get a 2-in-1 product for PhP 200, so why not

  • I like how this is a lipstick and lipgloss in one stick. I just wish the staying power is better. But for P200 nga naman, it’s okay na rin. Anyway, thanks for a very informative review. Not sure if I’ll get one for myself, but maybe ‘pag may nag-alok sakeng Natasha dealer

    • Haha, Thanks, Sumi

If I were to choose between the peach or pink, I’d choose the latter. Both colors look lovely on you, though.
And now that you’ve mentioned about the chocolate-y scent, I’m curious about this product! I need to find a Natasha lady, haha!

I have a lip duo from MUA but haven’t tried it yet Judging thru the packaging, Natasha looks better! But does it feel sturdy?

I have never heard of this brand, but the concept is very interesting. I really like the shades.

  • havent tried natasha cause i think of it more as a shoe brand than a makeup brand. nice peach color though

    • Yeah, my thoughts exactly, Rovie.

      Thanks!

  • The pink is vibrant and sassy and I’d use the peach with a nude look. Both look great on you.

  • I like the peach but I don’t like glossy lips. Sana may matte na ganyan

    • Hi Sam! Haha. I’m not fond of glossy lips too. I just use a lip gloss mainly to dab some at the center of my lips & that’s it.

      • I found my HG lip gloss, kaya lang naubos ko na bago pa ipanganak blog ko. I hope I can buy another tube. hihi

Kahit sa center ayaw ko maglagay, minsan okay din naman. haha (A bipolar makeup junkie here)

Peach is a very pretty shade. It gives you that fresh look. The packaging is a little bit tacky with the flower prints but this product looks very promising. Great review Yette!

  • Faye Solis

pink duo is soo pretty!it looks pretty in your lips too

I remember when I was still in elementary. My mom was a Natasha dealer. But, before, Natasha is not very popular when it comes to cosmetics. And it’s nice to know that they’re catching up on the latest trends. I love products like this, the 2 in 1 kind. I have one, my favorite, the blush & lipstick in one! I love the colors of this. Though I guess the sticky part might be a problem to some people. For the price, it's worth it and for everyday use

  • itsmefati

Im into lip shiner or lip gloss nowadays!:) dati i just go for matte lipstick but now, i coat my normal matte lipstick with a lip gloss so when I saw this post, why not buy something like this? A lip gloss and a lipstick in one tube/container? what other brand that sells products like this? Want to have this so I be able to free some space on my makeup bag!

    • Try BYS. I saw it first form their makeup line but it’s more pricey, I believe.
