All Glammed Up | ‘Purple Smokes’ Tutorial/FOTD

Hi everyone! I decided to enter the Avon Blogger Challenge (which will end REALLY SOON) after a few nudges from my co-blogger/friends. So, here’s my version of ‘Purple Smokes’. I used most of the Avon products that I got from my July Special Edition Avon Glamourbox (Click here to read my unboxing post). I hope you find this tutorial helpful and let me know if you want more of these tutorials or if you have any questions.

Face Routine
I’m using Avon Skin Goodness BB Cream in ‘B02 Nude’;
This BB cream is kinda liquidy and has a light-medium coverage. You can blend this with your hands if you prefer.
I’m also using the Naturactor Cover Face Foundation/Concealer in ‘140’ to cover my blemishes & dark circles;
BRUSHES USED: Real Techniques Expert Face Brush & Deluxe Crease Brush

I’m using Look Beauty’s Brow Perfect Kit to fill in my brows & the Fixing gel that’s included in the said palette;
BRUSH USED: Marionnaud Dual Eye Brush in ‘No. 9’

  Eyeshadow Base

Eyeshadow Base
I used Essence I ♥ Stage Eyeshadow Base to prep my eyelids; Make sure that you blend this properly since this is quite opaque and will cover any discolorations on your eyelid area. It will show if you did not blend this properly and we don’t want that.

  Purple Smokes

Purple Smokes
I’m using the Avon True Color Eyeshadow Quad in ‘Purple Pop’ but you can use any eyeshadow palette with any purple shades in it;
BRUSHES USED: Virginia Olsen Short Shader Brush, MAC 217 & Elf Eyeshadow Brush

  Eyeliner & Mascara

Eyeliner & Mascara
I used my Nichido Kohl Pencil in ‘Onyx’ to tightline my upper & lower lashes; then I used my San San Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in ‘Black’ to do that cat’s eye (which is optional);
Curl your lashes then apply loads of mascara; I used my trusty Avon Supershock Max Mascara in ‘Black’ (not shown in the photo, I apologize) to volumize my lashes

  Set Everything

Setting Powder
I used my all-time favorite setting powder – Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder to set my makeup.
I prefer to do this after applying my eye makeup since I’m prone to making makeup boo-boos and I want to avoid that. Also, I want to clean some eyeshadow fallouts. Therefore, prior to setting it, I cleaned it using a fan brush.
Then afterwards I applied my setting powder.
BRUSHES USED: Fan brush to clean fallouts & Elf Kabuki Face Brush to set my bb cream & concealer

  Cheek – Contour, Blush & Highlight

I used my Sleek Face Contour Kit in ‘Medium’ to contour my face then for a hint of color, I used my Avon Ideal Luminous Blush in ‘E102 Peach’ then to highlight/accentuate some areas, I used my MeMeMe Beat The Blues Highlighter in ‘Oyster Gold’ (not shown in the picture, I apologize)
BRUSHES USED: Real Techniques Contour Brush & Elf Angled Blush Brush

Using the ‘Charm’ Lip Brush, I just applied a thin layer of the Avon Ultra Color Lipstick in ‘Hibiscus’ just for that hint of color then, for that subtle shine, I used my Majolica Majorca Honey Pump Gloss Neo
BRUSH USED: Charm Lip Brush

Final Look

I hope that you like this look, and I hope that you like these kinds of posts. Like I said, this is my entry for the Avon Blogger’s Challenge. I hope I make it but if not, I’m still thankful because I was able to do this anyway, lol.

See you on my next post everyone!

I was not able to proofread all of the photos I’ve attached in this posts. So I’m sorry for all of the spelling mistakes/double words that were made in some of the photos. Don’t worry, I’ll double check them next time -__-
