Essentials | Sick Girl’s Makeup Routine
L-R: L’oreal Lucent Magique Skin Illuminating BB Cream, Revlon Colorstay Concealer in ‘Light Medium’ & Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder
Even when I’m not sick, the L’oreal Lucent Magique Skin Illuminating BB Cream has been my goto BB cream for several months now. When I’m just going to run errands, go to the mall (alone), do some groceries. It has a really light coverage that pretty much evens my skintone and blurs out my pores and cancels out my redness. I love it because it’s really lightweight, it allows my skin to breathe. That’s it’s also my default BB Cream when I’m sick. Also, I’d rather put on something that’s lightweight and cover up areas that needed to be covered with a concealer afterwards. Then, I’d set it with my favorite setting powder, which is the Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder.
TOP-BOTTOM: Hayan Natural Beauty Auto Eyebrow in Taupe Brown & Essence Lash & Brow Gel Mascara
You guys know that I love my Look Beauty Brow Perfect Kit, but it’s kinda hard to use it when you’re sick and you just want to sit down afterwards (I have to standup when I apply makeup, sadly) so I use my Hayan Auto Eyebrow Pencil to just fill in the gaps. It’s smudge-proof and it’s pigmented as well. Then I use the Essence Lash & Brow Gel Mascara to set everything in place.
L-R: Lorac Behind The Scenes Eye Primer & ELF Butternut Quad
I know that I’m a NAKED/Lorac Pro junkie but when I really am tired/in a hurry I just go for these types of palettes (this one or my WNW Walking On Eggshells Trio) because it’s a lot easier to pick the colors and when dealing with this palette/quad, I basically know what look I’m going to do.
TOP-BOTTOM: Maybelline Hypercurl Volum’Express Mascara, Revlon Photoready Kajal Intense Eyeliner/Brightener in ‘Purple Reign’ & Urban Decay 24-7 Glide-on Pencil in ‘Zero’
Of course, even if I’m sick I wouldn’t leave home without putting on a mascara. A mascara always makes a huge difference in a girl’s makeup look. I’ve also been loving the Revlon Kajal eyeliner recently especially the lighter shade. I use it for my lash line, to make myself look more awake and less sleepy & drowsy, lol.
L-R: MeMeMe Beat The Blues Highlighter in ‘Oyster Gold’ & Tarte Amazoian Clay Blush in ‘Exposed’
Of course, how can I forget? Le blush. I love Tarte Amazoian Clay Blush in ‘Exposed’ because it basically acts as a blush and contour as well. Then of course, to fake that healthy glow, I use my favorite MeMeMe highlighter.
L-R: Benefit Cha Cha Tint & Revlon Lip Butter in ‘Tutti Frutti’
If I’m in the mood and I want to make my lips really ‘orange’ I apply my Cha Cha tint first then my Revlon Lip Butter in ‘Tutti Frutti’ then I just retouch using my lip butter. But if I’m really lazy I just go on with my day and apply either one of those two products. Either way, I never leave home without these two babies (along with my Mac Flamingo).
I forgot to include a brown eyeliner that I use to contour my nose. I also use that sometimes as an alternative to my Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Pencil in ‘Zero’. Sometimes when I feel that a black eyeliner is too strong, I either use a grey or a brown eyeliner. But oftentimes, I opt to a brown one, instead.
Anyway, those are all of the products I use when I do my makeup, when I’m sick. I KNOW, I know. “Why do I have to wear makeup when I’m sick…” because, it’s still me we’re talking about. Kidding. No, because like I said, I attended a birthday, and I had to run some errands, and I don’t know if I mentioned this, but whenever I’m sick that’s the time when my pimples come out and play. That’s the time they torture me. -__-
Anyway, I gotta go guys. Off to work. Regular reviews will resume this week. I know I haven’t done a decent review for a couple of days now. Apologies. See ya!
