Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation – Photos, Swatches & Review

Hello everyone! So today, I thought of reviewing my new found fave, the Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation. I am in the shade “Natural Beige”, and some of you may think that it’s a bit too dark for me and in some cases I’d say you’re right. However, due to the climate these days, I guess I got so sunburned, this shade somehow blends in my skin just fine.

Product claims according to the Revlon website:

Makeup so refreshingly light, it melts right in, creating a fresh even look. So the only one that knows you are wearing makeup is you. Blends seamlessly, buildable coverage.

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation - Packaging

First let’s start with the packaging. Typical to Revlon foundations, this one doesn’t come with a pump as well which is kinda irksome because the product is quite liquidy. It would be nice to have some control on how much you would like to get from the bottle. On the other hand, presentation wise, I like that the product comes with a white cap, it makes the foundation look like a mid-range brand/high-end brand.

With regard to application, I’ve never used anything else aside from my beauty blender and this foundation blends like a dream. It gives my face a dewy finish without being too shiny. It has a very lightweight formula, with SPF 20, really ideal during summertime.

As for coverage, being named ‘Nearly Naked’ one could expect that it has a sheer to light coverage, but I would say that it is quite buildable. I prefer to have just one layer and cover up some minor blemishes with concealer, but for me, I consider it to have up to a medium coverage.

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation - Longevity

Now with regard to its longevity, this product lasted me approximately eight hours upon application, with minimal fading especially in my nose (being such a huge sneezeball) and near my forehead. (because it’s so damn hot!) I did not apply a primer before applying this product, however, I did set it with my trusty Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder. I also have a dry skin and I didn’t notice it clinging at/highlighting the driest part of my face, which is at my nose area.

In terms of shade selection, I doubt if you will encounter any problems with the foundation itself, since I believe they offer it in 16 shades. Here in our country, however, is a different story. The product, as of this moment is only available online. (if what the Revlon SA told me is correct, it will be available here in May) I bought mine at Bon Marche for PhP 500 and I’m very lucky that I got my correct shade at first try. Though I’m thinking of getting a lighter shade for when I’m no longer sunburned, lol.

I really don’t have any bad things to say about this product, except the pump maybe, and perhaps the weird smell that comes with it. I cannot describe it, since I’m not really good with scents, but it doesn’t really bother me, and it’s not really overpowering. It’s just something that I guess is pretty common with Revlon foundations, or any foundation for that matter.

So, let’s gather up our thoughts about this product, shall we?

Nice sturdy (mid-range looking) packaging
Blends really well
Gives a dewy finish without being too shiny
Has a lightweight formula ideal for summer
Evens out skin tone
Light to medium coverage
With SPF 20
Covers minor blemishes/flaws
Doesn’t highlight/cling on to dry areas
Lasts up to approximately 8 hours with minimal fading (on a really hot/humid climate like ours)
Not available here in our country – yet (Available in local resellers)
Doesn’t have a PUMP! Come on Revlon!
Has a weird smell
The V E R D I C T

As mentioned, I really cannot say anything bad about this product, I love it and now that it’s really friggin hot here in our country, this and my L’oreal Lucent Magique Skin Illuminating BB Cream are my often goto face products. I’m not into the whole “dewy” thing, but this changed my entire perspective, and who knows, this might make me jump to the bandwagon someday? Lol.

R E P U R C H A S E ?

As I mentioned earlier, I’m thinking about getting a lighter shade

So those are my thoughts about the Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation. I hope you find this review helpful in case you’re contemplating on whether to buy this product. I suggest you go for it! Kidding, I don’t want to push you into buying things you’re not sure of. Anyway, as for me, I’m totally head over heels in this foundation. I finally found a face product that wont make my dry skin stick out like crazy.

How about you? What’s your fave foundation? Do you have this foundation? Do you like it? Let me know!

  • I have the same “cons” with regards to Revlon foundations. I don’t like the smell and the fact that it doesn’t come up with a pump. Sobrang messy. :S pero for the quality, two thumbs up ako. Just like your verdict, long lasting din sa akin ang revlon foundations.

    • True. Thanks Clarisse

  • Wow parang ang ganda nito! 8 hours! and nag beach ka no sis?! buti ka pa ako sa bahay lang this summer. boring. :))

    • Di no. Pool lang, haha. But knowing how hot it is here sunog paren ako. Lol

  • I have Revlon Foundation too ung Photoready Airbrush and kakagamit ko lang and I was really impressed! Long lasting ang peg! Agree ako with you. un nga lang hindi ko rin trip yung pump ng Airbrush although ok naman haha hindi lang ako sanay. At ang weird talaga ng amoy! LOL. Well I will have my review soon! Ang init kasi kaya di ko siya ginagamit ngayon unless umalis ako ng bahay. btw ang ganda ng review! Anyways ask ko lang what’s the best concealer na pwede mo irecommend? Oily face ko hehe.

    • Thanks!

Uhm, I don’t know. I have normal to dry skin. But I’ve heard some good things about the Revlon Photoready stick concealer & the Artdeco Camouflage Cream Concealer. Both of them are ideal for those with oily skin.

  • i havent tried revlon foundation and the coverage on you looks so natural =) ang galing.. im not good in applying foundation too.. i just learned it when i attended a makeup workshop by mary kay (my friend-officemate is a consultant there)

im not much into applying foundation because i feel it heavy on my face lalo na ngayong summer.. the only items ive tried from revlon, is their eyeshadow and concealer =) and i must say they were good quality makeup i would re-purchase =)

    • When was that workshop? If that was just held recently, my co-bloggers & I were supposed to be there kaso di kami natuloy. Haha. Anyway, this foundation doesn’t feel heavy unlike other Revlon fondies do. This one feels like a bb cream, if not lighter. I haven’t tried their eyeshadows yet because I find them to be a bit pricey, lol.

      • recently lang mga feb or march po =)

  • eyahnism

I’m loving this too.. I bought the nude shade and warm beige (para pag nangitim ako sa summer after swimming) back up ko sya.. the bottle is what I really rant talaga.. walang pump grrr.. ang messy tuloy lagi ng lid kakainis pa naman pag ganun..But then I love this one.. ITs a great find

    • You have no picture here? Hmm O.o

I need to buy a lighter shade nga e.Korek, sakin nga nakakailang punas na ako e, and I find it wasteful kase sayang ung naiipon sa lid (weird ba, lol).

  • That’s a really inconvenient packaging, but the price is very attractive.

    • It is but it’s really worth it & so is the price. Haha

  • I just love how you take pictures on the products that you are featuring in your blog.. So nice and girly Anyway, I’ve heard a lot of good reviews about this foundation but I’m looking for a full coverage foundation that will work.. And I’m eyeing on the Covergirl Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 foundation.. have you tried it already? Or do you know any full coverage foundation that will work?

Hi! I’m a new fan of your blog and I have to say I enjoy reading your reviews. I have been to several Revlon counters at the malls and they still don’t carry the Nearly Naked foundation. The SA said that they’re still “reviewing” if the product would be a hit here. Anyway, I was wondering how this compares to the Color Stay foundation? I assumed the Nearly Naked is lighter but I wanted to hear your thoughts about it. I love the dewy effect of Color Stay when I dilute with Mac Face and Body, but a girl can never have too many foundations, right? Also I was wondering if you’ve seen the Revlon CC Cream and the Absolute Radiance powder? I saw it and I wanted to read reviews about it but to my amazement, there was nothing online. I would appreciate if you can review these products (pretty please!) More power to your blog!
