I must admit, you might be tired reading about most of these products in my Monthly Favorites posts. However, I’d be lying to myself and to you guys if I did not include them, so please bear with me.
I. Human (Heart) Nature 100% Natural Cleansing Oil
Time for me to say B-bye to my Maybelline Lip & Eye Makeup Remover and Hello to this wonder product! This product removes my makeup like no other. I now seldom use my Ponds Cold Cream and I’m so glad I found this at Landmark. I first saw this product at Kimpossibly Gorgeous’ blog and I really wanted to get my hands on one these babies but I can’t find one either online or at the Beauty bar where most Human (Heart) Nature products are sold. So glad I found one, I love it!
II. Physiogel Hypoallergenic Intensive Cream
I have been using this product non-stop ever since I got this from my November BDJ box, and I love how this product moisturizes my skin. I have normal to dry combination skin, however, these past few weeks, my skin’s been really dry due to the climate, perhaps, and this one is just perfect. Found out that you can buy this at the pharmacy section at Watson’s, and if you have dry skin, I suggest you try this one out. It may be pricey, but it’s worth the try.
III. Benefit The POREfessional
This is the sample that I got from Sample Room and I’ve been using it every time I needed to apply my makeup. I love it. This is one product that even though it may be expensive, it’s something that I’m definitely going to buy.
IV. MeMeMe Flawless Cream Foundation in ‘Porcelain’
I have been including this product in most of my monthly favoritesmonthly faves and I’d be lying (again) if I didn’t include this in my 2012 Hits list. As I’ve mentioned in my previous ‘favorites’, this foundation gives me such a flawless finish and it provides a good coverage as well.
V. L’oreal Lucent Magique BB Cream
I’ve been loving this product ever since I got a sample tube in my October BDJ box. The moment I emptied my sample tube I immediately grabbed myself the full-sized product. As it says in the packaging, this BB cream is just like magic. I did a review about this product and you can read more about it here.
VI. 4u2 Lovelight BB Powder SPF 15 PA++ in ‘No. 2’
This would’ve been perfect if this has a longer staying power, say like a compact foundation? Still, I am in love with this one because this mattifies my skin and provides a great coverage. Just perfect for running errands, etc. Oh, and it’s very affordable! The only thing that I have a problem with this one is that they’re often out of stock, so I gotta buy some backups because I’m about to hit pan! (Oh no!)
VII. Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in ‘Exposed’
I have been gushing about this product for quite some time now, and I just can’t stop using this one. This is my go-to blush if I don’t want to contour my face and if I just want to have some color in my cheeks. This product is very versatile, and perfect for everyday makeup wear, or even for heavy smokey eye looks. I love this one, and if you’re planning to invest on a good cheek product, this is definitely something you might want to consider. For more details about this blush, you can read more about it in my review here.
VIII. Sleek Contour Kit in ‘Medium’
I have finally found my perfect contouring kit! If you’ve been following me for some time, you’ll know that I’ve always been in the search for a really good matte contour kit/bronzer. Thing is, I just can’t find one, and I cannot afford NARS Laguna or Benefit Hoola. I mean, I considered purchasing one of them, but I always hesitate. Then I fond this This one is affordable, it’s pigmented, and PERFECT for contouring. I love it! This is definitely something that I’m definitely going to repurchase over and OVER again.
IX & X. Urban Decay Naked & Naked 2 Palette
If I am to include only ONE (well, maybe two) product in this list, then this would be it. This is my most expensive makeup purchase and I never regretted buying these palettes ever. I however, debated whether or not to include the Naked 2 palette in this list, because I realized that I just gravitate towards my original Naked palette. But, once again, I’d just be lying if I didn’t include it. The Naked 1 palette is famous for warm tones which is perfect for everyday wear, however, the Naked 2 palette is full of cool colors, perfect for a really glam smokey eye look.
XI. KPalette Real Lasting Liquid Eyeliner
This is the first and only liquid eyeliner that taught me how to a cats eye look. I’m not saying that I’ve already perfected the craft, however, this product just made it easier for me. Also, after I started used this, I didn’t have any problems using any other liquid eyeliners afterwards. I no longer use gel liners.
XII. Benefit They’re Real Mascara
I’ve heard some raves (and rants) about this product and I really wanted to try this product but it’s way beyond my budget. However, thanks to Stuff In Style‘s promo, I was able to purchase this for only PhP 750! And it was money well spent! I really love this mascara! It lengthens, defines and separates my lashes like no other. It may not be perfect for volumizing my lashes, but I can always layer another brand on top of it, but I’m pretty satisfied with this one. It doesn’t clump my lashes and I’m very well satisfied with this one.
XIII. Revlon Superlustrous Lipstick in ‘Cherries In The Snow’
This is just the perfect RED lipstick I have ever owned. Just a reminder, I do not own a lot of red lip colors, and ALL of them are drugstore products, hence I don’t know how to compare them with Mac’s Ruby Woo, Russian Red or MAC Red. However, I just get a lot of compliments whenever I wear it specially during the holidays. I love this red lipstick. If only I could pull off wearing a red lipstick every day, I’ll wear this even just for running errands.
XIV. Mac Satin Lipstick in ‘Rebel’
This is actually my first Mac purchase, and I’ve loved it ever since I bought it. It’s not as scary as it looks like in the tube, so you need not to be intimidated. It can be vampy but it can also be sheered out into a really beautiful fuchsia color.
XV. Banana Republic EDT for Women
This is my 2012 signature scent. Hah! If Ralph was my 2011 scent, this would be my 2012. I’m really bad in describing scents so I’m sorry if I can’t describe how it smells. All I can say is that I love this and that this EDT reminds me a lot about my teenage years.
XVI. In2it Waterproof Eyebrow Color
Darn it! How can I forget to include this in the main picture! Sorry about that! Anyway, I’ve been using my Wet N’ Wild Eyebrow Kit to fill in my brows but I’ve heard a lot of local YT gurus raving about this product and I thought I oughta try one and I loved it. It’s not as pigmented as the WNW brow kit, which is great so you won’t overdo your eyebrows, and it can also be used as an eyeshadow. I’ve also heard some people use this as a cheek contour!
There you go… Those are the products that made it to my 2012 Hits list. As mentioned, I really did enjoy doing ‘Favorites’ post and most of all I enjoyed doing this one. Although if I may say so, I kinda did have difficulties choosing which products to include, because as I’ve mentioned before, 2012 is just a year filled with experimenting.
Anyway, I hope that you find this entry useful and if you’re looking for new products to try, I hope consider some of the items I’ve listed here. If you do, however, have one or more of the products listed in here, let me know what you think. I’d love to hear your thoughts!
