NOTD – OMG Crystal Nail Polish in Hematite

I will try to make this post as short as I can, because I am trying to post another review.

Today’s nail of the day is another grainy/sandy nail polish and it is from the OMG Nail polish brand. It is the ‘OMG Crystal Sand Nail Polish in ‘Hematite’. As mentioned, this is another sandy/grainy-textured nail lacquer with a touch of silver shimmers on it. What attracted me more about this nail polish is that it is BLACK. I’ve never seen a grainy/sandy nail polish like this before, so I got so excited when I saw this at Landmark and I grabbed it right away.

Another good thing about this nail polish is that it is cheaper than the other leading brands (Did I just sound like a commercial there, I think I did. Lol). Compared to Bobbie, Chic, Caronia, etc. this one is only PhP 18.75. It already contains 10ml of product. It is also Toluene & DBP free which makes this nail polish safe for pregnant women (at least that’s what I’ve heard, lol).

Ethyl acetate; Isopropyl alcohol; Butyl Acetate; Nitrocellulose; Acrylates; Colorants;

Furthermore, I’ve noticed that this is very opaque. Unlike the Miss Beauty Sanding Fruit Extract Nail Polish, it only required me 2 coats to get the color shown above. However, before you say anything.. I also topped that with a glitter nail polish. Because I am so fascinated of how ‘shimmery’ Hematite is, I decided to top it off with Bobbie Premium Nail Creme in The Big Bang.

Bobbie Premium Nail Creme in The Big Bang

Of all my sandy/grainy nail lacquers, this is by far my favorite. I love this! What you see from the bottle is definitely what you get. To recap, here are the products that I used to get the complete look:

Bobbie Premium Nail Creme in The Big Bang
From Left to Right
China Glaze Ridge Filler Base Coat, OMG Crystal Sand Nail Polish in ‘Hematite’,
Bobbie Premium Nail Creme in ‘The Big Bang’
and Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

How about you guys? Do you like these types of nail lacquers? Do you own them? Let me know!

    I like glittery nail polishes but my dilemma about those is the part of removing it. Usually, I spend a small bottle of nail polish remover just to remove the nail polish I have on my hand nails when I use the glittery type. Is there any suggestion to help me out in this? Thanks.
