Affordables: Glamworks Makeup Remover Cleansing Wipes

Last week while I was doing my weekly window shopping, (more of ‘shopping’ than ‘window shopping’ if you know what I mean) I stumbled upon these cheap makeup removers, when I was looking for my usual cleansing wipes. Since the ones that I usually buy was out of stock, I opted to try this one. This one was only two for PhP 50.00 with ten sheets per pack, so I thought I’d try it out, see how ‘effective’ the product is.

Upon arriving home, I immediately opened it and used one of the cleansing wipes in my face. You see, I don’t really go out of the house anymore without makeup on. May it be a simple BB cream with a touch of naked eyeshadow color, and a simple nude lipstick or all-out heavy makeup, I just don’t go outside with my naked face (except when I just need to buy something at the sari-sari store, obviously, but other than that, makeup has been an essential for me). The first thing that I noticed, the very moment I used it was the smell. If you’re not fond of products with heavy citrus-y scents, then this product is a definite no-no for you. Because, as effective as this product may be, the product’s smell/scent can be overpowering, to the point that it can be a huge turn off.

On the other hand, if you’re looking for an inexpensive makeup remover that can remove even your gel liners, and mascaras, then this will definitely do. So to sum it all up, here are some factors that make you either love or hate the product:

♥ P R O S ♥

Affordable.
Can remove liquid & gel liners; Can also remove waterproof mascaras.
Can remove your entire makeup with just one sheet.

♥ C 0 N S ♥

Strong ‘citrus-y’ smell that can sometimes be overpowering
Dries out really fast.

All in all, this product for me, is actually a good deal, especially because a lot of makeup cleansing wipes out there are priced PhP 200 and up. As I’ve said, the only thing that I only thing that I don’t like about this item is the smell. So far, I haven’t experienced any breakouts when I use this product, although I really don’t think that one can experience such. But I don’t know.

Would I repurchase? Yes. In fact, I went there last Friday and they don’t have this product anymore

How about you guys? Have you tried this product? Do you like it? Let me know!
